The hotel opened in 1927 and retains a certain charm of a by-gone era. The public spaces are attractive, The room furniture needs updating. The couch sagged to the point of being difficult to get out of. The bathroom was tiny and cramped by contemporary standasrds. Superior staff service (bell staffm room service, valet parking) is balanced against shortcomings in the physical planat resulting an overall average experience

Really nice place and is centrally located. It's downtown so if you ask directions don't expect any of the Americans to help you but if you ask another tourist/foreigner, they're happy to help.

I was looking for a free parking but the hotel charged $50 per day, which was extremely disappointing the mattress was at the same time hard and lumpy and there was not a single comfortable chair in the room also, despite quite a large size there was no desk in the room

Lovely hotel and ambiance. Valet parking immediate and friendly. Oliver’s restaurant is lovely and service was excellent, but food was just okay. Bed was comfortable, but pillows felt like cement. Still a good experience overall.

Is a nice historic property. Asked front desk person upon arrival for higher end restaurant reccomendations, he appeared to have little or no knowledge of places, instead steered us to a local diner he liked. We found a great dining venue on Open Table. Both Andeluca restaurant and Oliver's were delightful, we enjoyed both and would highly recommend. This area of town is dead in regards to shopping and finer dining. We were absolutely taken aback that the property does not offer Netflix or any other streaming venues, only local TV channels. Mayflower Park is ok but we will stay elsewhere the next time we are in Seattle.
