We booked a room with one queen bed, were given a room with two queen beds. The hotel offers poor services at best in terms of basic hygiene and housekeeping. There were bloodstains on my so called checked in room. Whats more, the housekeeping did not bother to do anything about it for the second night of stay, nor wash the glasses, nor clear the dirty towels, nor clean the toilet or wash basin, nor replenish any supplies, nor vacuum. The previous guest’s rubber bands sat in the middle of the living area through our 2 day stay. They have a restaurant that opens only 2 days a week if it’s dinner. Or else eat at the bar with a very limited “hick” menu. I think this place only survives because of its heritage value. I would not recommend it to anyone for a comfortable stay.

Historic and beautiful

This was my 3rd stay at the RLSHS. I had a large king room on the city side of the hotel. I could see the Electric City sign. The parking charge was new.

We've loved coming here to the point that we will travel out of the way to stay there. The breakfast is amazing, the view is nice, and it's close to just about everything we like to do while there. The staff are also extremely polite and have taken great care of us.
