The food in restaurant was excellent we had 3 course and it was all delicious. The steam was out of order on Friday which did spoil that spa experience for us but luckily it was working the following day

Very nice location, and very friendly staff. It is obvious that they put their heart and soul into the place. I think it's had its ups and downs with bad management, training issues and maintenance. It did what it said it would do, but I have a feeling that with a bit more help and support, the place could be exceptional, as the staff deserve it. They obviously love the place, and so do the regular patrons. It's a work in progress, don't let the silly little things put you off staying here, and I do see good things in the future.

Driving in, the place looks stunning! However, it’s dated, it’s run down, the service is terrible too. Food was virtually inedible. Was charged for a breakfast I never used and made to feel I was putting the staff out of their way for having to refund it! The gym is the only decent area!

Dissappointing

Was advertised as having a lift, but it didnt work. And had to go up very steep stairs to our room. Im disabled. And wasnt offered assistance with luggage. Also, x4 disabled bays x3 of which taken by cars without a disabled badge! Illegal!...raised it with reception & no one did anything about it. When we got to our room, we only had one large towel & yried calling reception on the room phone, but it didnt work!...my partner went down to request one, but we didnt get it for at least a couple of hours, so had to share one after our showers before going out for dinner. They also had very loud music playing right outside our room, though when i told them, they did turn it off.

No water! Take your own!

No water when we woke up, so no shower, no bath, no tap water, no toilet - so not ideal! No alternatives offered either. 8am drilling outside and room needs care, terrible experience. Breakfast missed due to no water and waiting for it to come back on!

Really not impressed

The issues we had would normally be easy to look past, but we paid more for a reason, and expected better. Our curtains didnt close properly, which meant the room was very light during the night and we barely slept after travelling for 3 hours, and then again before travelling home for 3 hours. On our 2nd night we got back around 1130pm from an event. The first issue was our room key didnt work and we had to go and get that fixed. Once we got in, my wife tried to have a bath, but as we filled the bath it made the bidet fill and overflow, flooding part of the bathroom. Staff were helpful in fixing the issue, but by the time it was fixed it was 1am. We were given the option to move downstairs to a room woth a working bath, not exactly convenient at 1am, and we were told the new room had a broken lock, so we wpuld need to have someone take us back in the room any time we left. Completely ridiculous. When we checked out around 930am today, we had to bring these issues up because the girl on reception didn't bother asking us how our stay was - really poor customer service.

Maintenance is very poor. First of all i was booked in a room which was like a sauna with nothing to turn the heating off then i was changed to another room which the key didn't work so back to the reception were i was to anoth44er room for the third time and everything thing seemed resolved but i went out for the evening on my return the key wouldn't work again and for 35 minutes i couldn't find anyone to help me to sought the key.

Checked in around 8pm asked if there was room service was advised yes. Got to room after walking up stairs with bags as no lift and no offer of help, No menu called down to reception they said we can read it to you - I wanted to browse and decide and also wanted to look at prices etc. Filled in breakfast card for room hung on door to find it still there in the morning so had to rush down to breakfast with wet hair. Room was a good size but basic

Room was incredibly outdated, bed very uncomfortable, bathroom was dirty, room key consistently didn’t work so had to be replaced several times. Overall would rather have stayed in a premier inn.

My stay at Manor of Groves Hotel, Golf & Health Cl

Generally very clean and the staff were very polite. Only that last night we had an issue with water supply for the greater part of the evening. We went to bed without running water. Also their air-con is fixed at 19.5% and you cant change it so the temperature was uncomfortable during the night. At the same time their top linen is just a very warm duvet which makes things worse. I requested for simple bed sheets and I was promised that someone was going to bring it to my room but no one turned up. Please make it clear that if one wants to use the beauty facilities ie getting treatment, they need to book well in advance. The primary reason I went there was for my wife to use the Spa. Unfortunately we were told that it was fully booked and she was disappointed.

It was lovely everything was great the staff were polite and very helpful. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The food was superb. The actual grounds were beautiful also. Overall had a brilliant stay will definitely be coming back.
