Starting from parking , you had to obtain a parking ticket in order to park . Was told you only have to pay $40. During check out i ended up paying $160.. not sure where the disconnect was. Didn’t have enough towels to use and the tub looked like it was also used before we got settled in . Haven’t been to a marriott that i didn’t have a great experience until this one.

It’s a nice hotel overall. Sits on the riverfront which is a nice view. Short walk to restaurants and some shopping. The hotel staff was very friendly. The downside is the rooms are very dark (dark brown walls) and even with all the lamps on it felt dark and dreary. It also had a strange smell like old cigarette smoke or dampness. Our room had an adjoining door and we could hear every word the couple next door said even though they weren’t speaking loudly. If you choose this hotel, ask for a room without the adjoining door. In addition they charge $12 a day for internet and $40 a day for parking. A little steep for no valet. Charging for internet in this era seems ridiculous in my opinion.

The dining options were few and overpriced. Multiple menus and signs at elevators listing specials that were not available. Waiter in Atrium served our food and never came back. After flagging down the manager, turns out the waiter was eating his lunch instead of serving us. Lunch was comped.

Nice place to visit with alot of room to gather and work in public spaces. Hotel room walls are not as soundproof, but ambience is very good. Close proximity to rivrrfront attractions

High quality stay
Our room overlooking the Savannah River was very comfortable and one was tempted to sit on the deck and watch the ships go by. There are other things to see in Savannah and we spent more of our days out and about. We ate in the hotel several times and while the menu was limited the food was very good.
