I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Bradenton Beach. Overall, the facilities were good, and I had a pleasant experience. However, I encountered an issue that impacted my stay. A day before my arrival, I was informed that the pool would be unavailable for the entire duration of my stay. Since I had planned this trip to celebrate my birthday with my husband and daughters specifically to enjoy both the beach and the pool, this was quite disappointing. Upon my arrival, I was told that I would receive a $50 refund per night for the inconvenience. However, when I checked in, I was informed that the manager was not available during the weekend and I would need to speak with her on Monday during my check out to process the refund. O. Monday, I was told that the refund was not possible and that I would only be offered a reward card instead. This felt quite dishonest, as I would have chosen a different hotel if I had known this beforehand.
