Captiva was an extremely charming work in progress! The staff are very, very friendly and accommodating and are working hard towards a complete property revamp. What's completed is adorable and you can tell that in a couple months this is going to shine. I would absolutely stay again, especially for the extremely reasonable price point. Our room was spotless and there is a huge kitchen.

Amazing!!! What can I say, considering this place got hit hard after the hurricane 2 months ago, the clear up and refurbishment is incredible. With just a 2 min stroll to one of the best beaches and some great restaurants, I would definitely recommend this property. In particular, Jen at reception was fab xx

We stayed in Siesta Key for New Year’s Eve. Upon arrival, we were shocked at how much hurricane damage was still in Siesta Key. Upon arriving, we were greeted by a very nice front desk staff who explained they had only recently reopened from the damage. Property is right at the beach (maybe 100 yards to the sand). Extremely clean in the room and on property. This property is at the end of the beach, but it was a short drive to Siesta Key Village.

People here so friendly and helpful. They’ve really been thru a lot with the hurricanes and rebuilding and you can tell they’re also grateful for their guests. All new beds, appliances etc. very clean and quiet. Truly a chance to experience “Old Florida”!

We really enjoyed Captiva Beach Resort. Our room was very nice and clean and comfortable. The only complaint was that some of the other people who were there were blasting their music at the pool and at the beach, making it impossible to relax. And unfortunately the water quality was pretty bad so we did not swim in the ocean at all. We did spend a lot of time in our room which was comfortable, yet not what we were expecting to do on vacation. The one thing I would like to see Captiva do is not allow super loud speakers at the pools or at the private beach.

We had a really good experience at Captiva Beach Resort. The room was clean and very nice. Housekeeping did a fantastic job. The outdoor shower area was a little messy however. There was a fountain in the area, but it was not working, and it was filled with stagnant water that was breeding mosquitoes. (I emptied this out fairly easily, but I should not have to!) There were also numerous visible electrical cords running alongside the walkways in this area. I didn't feel they were dangerous, but very unsightly. Overall a decent experience, and I'm sure we will be back. But with a little more groundskeeping effort, could easily be five stars in my opinion!

This hotel was very clean inside. The bed was comfy and the hot water was plentiful. Walking distance to the beautiful beach and surrounding restaurants and stores. The only thing keeping me from giving it an excellent was the towels, pretty rough

We stood in the retreat suite and it was perfect, with full kitchen. We were able to park right in front of our unit which is so convenient. Less than 5min walk to the beach and a heated pool which is shared between the surrounding small hotels. The pool is open until 10pm and every evening after the beach we had to jump in and it was never crowded. No room service but no dog deal. Would def stay here again!!

Our room was awfully small for a family of 4 (Crescent single). Front desk lady is absolutely useless and not interested in helping with anything. Asked for towels after coming from the beach she told us that housekeeping will bring it to us. After about 10 minutes I saw the housekeeper she said she didn’t have any on her but she can it bring it in about 15 minutes or I can go back to the front desk and get them (where we could of gotten them instantly). There was a huge flooding in the area where we stayed due to the heavy rain and so we couldn’t make it into the street because the water was about over 2 feet high. So we had to spend a night elsewhere we were never contacted by the staff members to instruct us what do we do in a case like this. That water stayed there for 24 hours so clearly they’re not very interested in getting things done at this property! This was our second time here it will be last time visiting this place.

Everyone in the office is great and helpful right down to the cleaning staff! Especially Jen in the office. She is over the top accommodating. Wonderful customer service!! Couldn’t be happier here at our stay! The beach access is just a short walk with beautiful powdery sands and clear blue waters! Highly recommend!
