Clean hotel near Guarulhos airport. Free breakfast and airport shuttle was welcome. Walls are thin so you can hear EVERYTHING your neighbours get up to. São Paulo hotels aren’t great, in my experience, so this one gets a decent rating from me by comparison. It’s in an industrial zone near the metro and lots of busy roads.

We stayed at this Hampton twice about a week apart. The first night, a Friday, was great. We never heard planes from the nearby international airport. The second night, the very next Thursday, we heard planes constantly. Maybe the flight path varies by day, but that seems unlikely. Great hotel and staff but it is in a less than ideal location.

I was put into a room with an adjacent door to the room next door. It was not soundproofed and my neighbour was drunk and very loud and indecent. I did not get more than 2 hours’ sleep. The hotel was much further from the terminal building than I expected and it took 25 min to arrive. The check in process was very slow and I had to wait in line for another 20 minutes, despite the fact that my room was pre booked and prepaid. The bathroom was moderately clean but the floor of the bedroom had dust and dirt on the floor. It was not clean. In the morning I struggled to find a place at a table in the restaurant area which was clean. People’s plates had not been cleared away from earlier, and it was not pleasant to have to eat surrounded by other peoples’s dirty plates. I will not stay there again.
