I felt comfortable during my stay-reception was kind and helpful. I liked that I could park close to my room and easy access. At one point I locked my key in the room and they very promptly helped me. Breakfast was good for grabbing something quick before I went out for the day. The rooms aren’t anything amazing, but for two nights it was a good central place to be while in Sante Fe. I didn’t feel like the bathroom was cleaned really well so I cleaned it myself. Overall, it was a decent place to get some rest during my stay in Sante Fe.

They overbooked and gave away my room

I called to confirm my room and give them a heads up that I would be arriving around midnight due to the weather on the roads. The employee told me that my room was ready and that she would make a noted for the person on the night shift. I arrived and went to check in only to find out that they had overbooked, and sent us to another hotel. No phone call, no warning, just poor service.

The Sage is located in a great spot. It's about one block from the Railyard where you get the train to other parts of NM. I was able to walk easily to restaurants. If you are a foodie, make other plans for breakfast, because the provided breakfast was tasteless eggs and cold potatoes. Check out Sage Bakehouse instead for great breakfast options or Pantry Rio.

This is not hotel but this is motel. The price shown on Expedia is not final price. During the check-in time, they asked for $15 per day service fee. They don't provide any service. You have to ask for room service to clean your room. For a small thing you have to go to their front office and asked them many times. I asked them for room service but they are didn't do it. I have to ask then again and that is done next day. If you need an extra towel you have to walk to front desk to get that, which is waking outside. Pool was closed as well. Everything mentioned on the site is not true. I would not recommend this to anyone.

The room was fairly dirty. A lot of hair around the room including on the bed between the sheets, on the floor (it looked like the room had not been vacuumed), and in the shower. The heater and air conditioner worked well (it’s a weird time of year weather wise) and the bed was comfortable. Check in was easy but I felt like I was an inconvenience to both staff members. Dated hotel which would not be a problem if it was clean. Great location though!

The Sage Hotel

Everything was very nice, except the bed had stains on the bedspread, and the shower was extremely old, and chipped. We loved the breakfast that was offered. The shuttle driver who took us downtown was wonderful!! He showed us around town first, since he knew we weren’t in a hurry. The staff was very helpful.
