Was able to check in earlier than designated check-in which was a super pleasant surprise. The room was spacious and clean when we got in. Great location for shops, museums and restaurants. We didn't drive much at all othe than to go to Chimayo and Nambe Trading Post. Would have liked to have extra bar of soap (they were thin and small). Front desk was friendly to deal with. The continental breakfast was decent and not part of hotel stay; just the adjoining dining room of Chinese restaurant. The breakfast was $8.50 per person. We just gave them $20. It was fine...had bacon, eggs and noodles along with sliced wheat bread, muffins or bagels, juice was available as was coffee if you wanted. Had the guy make us waffles the two times we went.

Very basic, room smaller that photos showed. Bathroom could use updating. Bed was comfortable. Drapes snapping to the wall so there were no gaps - was interesting. Had hoped for a bit more.

El Sendero is an old style motel in the heart of historic Santa Fe. It is affordable for folks who want to stay in the nicest area without spending thousands on accommodations. The beds are so comfortable too!!

We loved everything about El SENDERO - location, cleanliness and safe and quiet. One negative was getting a room on 2nd floor and no elevator. This was very difficult for a couple of seniors to tackle!

The property was is very good condition and the location was great for walking into the historic areas of Santa Fe. Parking was good and everything worked as expected in the room. The only weird thing was the sliding door on the bathroom. It was quirky to operate and there was always a large gap around the edges. But overall it was a good experience and I would stay there again for sure.
