Fantastic, convenient, and easy. Super lovely and helpful staff. Will stay again! Super convenient to so much Santa Cruz has to offer. 5 mins to the dog beach, great pool and they allow dogs.

Location is clearly why people stay here. You can walk 5-10 minutes to beach and boardwalk. Note it's pet friendly so that can be a plus or minus depending on your situation. I did not have a pet and fid not care for the odor in the room. I opened the window for fresh air, but there's a very active soccer field across the street that is quite loud. The bed was comfy but the rest of the room was uncomfortable, not kept up, and even a bit scary. Fan cover missing, nasty looking shower area and sink. Mini fridge and freezer=not clean and needed defrosting. No latch on door but holes from where I assume one used to be. I regretted staying here.

The property is in a good location. It's in good shape and is safe and clean. I only had two issues. The room smelled like cigarette smoke. It was masked at first by the scented spray but when I woke up I felt like I was a smoker. I smelled like smoke. My mouth tasted like smoke and my lungs hurt. There are ashtrays located all around the property, so clearly smokers are welcome. This is new to me. I haven't thought about cigarette smoke in years. I haven't' seen a smoker or been in a room like this. It was disgusting. The second issue which was more random. When checking in at almost 7PM on a Tues night there were 5 other groups checking in. We were all waiting in the small lobby and there was only one young woman checking us in. Took almost 30 min due to some issues one of the guests had with their reservation.

Convenient location to the Wharf and walking distance to downtown. 2 hot tubs and a pool with chairs, which were nice to have in the cooler mornings/evenings. Easy check in and check out, parking lot get filled quickly

We stay at Ocean Pacific because it is dog friendly and in a good location - walkable to the wharf, beach and downtown. There are not a lot of amenities but it's a decent room at a decent price.

A little sketchy in Santa Cruz
The check-in was a little crazy. There were stacks of paper on the counter. The parking lot is very small and crowded. Both nights I left and when I came back there was only one parking space in the lot. The ceiling had been patched and I was definitely not a professional job. There were large cracks and the tape was showing through. The bathtub had been caulked by someone who didn't know what they were doing. In fact, it looked like they just caulked over the old black caulking. And there were chunks on the tile walls. The drain in the shower was broken and I had to be careful not to cut my phone on it.

Very nice but the facility is old. The cracked tiles on the bathroom floor and slow draining sink are examples of an older facility that is in need of some improvement. Overall I had a pleasant stay, and I will continue to stay at this facility the next time I am in town.

Overpriced and noisy
Great location close to everything. Very noisy, road noise very thin walls, outside door with noseal. You can hear every person walk by like they're in your room Tub and shower probably orobably from the 1970s staind and corroding. Housekeeping didn't clean our after first night.some off the coffee pods were taken from McDonald's. And way overpriced. Also pet are is just a bunch ofdirt and weeds. But front desk employees were very nice.
