Good customer service and very very comfy beds! Parking is extra but very affordable and safe. Its walking distance to the boardwalk. I definitely recommend this hotel! I will stay here again next time I go to Santa Cruz!

The hotel is located at such a convenient location. Walking distance to the wharf and the boardwalk. But not right on the main Street, so it's really quiet for my kids bedtime. They also have a decent sized pool which my kids enjoyed playing in. They have underground parking for $25. Which is better than parking on the street or at a parking lot.

Ok but over priced
There was nowhere to park near the lobby for check in, so I drove around the block and found a metered space that only took quarters. I put two quarters in and the meter showed 14 minutes. Since I had checked in earlier online, I figured that should be enough time to check in and find out where I could park overnight. Check in took awhile because a couple ahead of me had a problem with their reservation. While the desk person handled the problem nicely for the couple, I had to wait about ten minutes. There did not seem to be anyone else working who could help me. When it was my turn, the desk clerk verified my info, explained all the property info and told me about garage parking overnight for an additional $25. I asked him if there were any other options and he said there was metered parking on the street, but it would be more expensive than the garage. I told him I would use the garage and managed to get back to my car just as the meter ran out. Re my room, I had requested a quiet room when I made the reservation approximately five weeks earlier. The desk person did not mention whether or not they had been able to accommodate my request and I didn’t have time to ask. I got to my room, number 119, on the first floor, just across from the elevator, a few steps from the main lobby area and one room away from the housekeeping supplies and laundry area. Despite my concern for the potential for a lot of noise just outside my door, it turned out to be okay.
Although my room seemed very clean, I believe this is a cockroach, just under 1” long, found in the bathroom this morning.

The hotel was spotless, nice decor, the staff was persona le and helpful. The beds we re comfortable, there was a large shower and plenty of hot water. It was quiet , too which was very nice. The breakfast was very good - scrambled eggs and bacon/sausage, plus cereal, etc. We were very happy with the stay and would stay here again.
