Unacceptable Security & Poor Customer Service
I had a terrible experience at this hotel. I checked in around 6 PM, and shortly after, my daughter and I went out for dinner. When we returned, I realized that the door to our room wasn’t locking properly, leaving our room completely accessible to anyone from the street. Concerned for our safety, I immediately informed the front desk. The response I got was that "someone would probably come to fix it," and I was told to wait inside the room.
Feeling unsafe, I had to call a friend to stay with us while we waited. It took five hours—until 11 PM—for someone to finally arrive and attempt to fix the lock. At that point, I was completely exhausted, so I was relieved when it seemed like the issue was resolved.
However, at 5 AM, when my friend left, I realized that the door lock was once again not working. I was supposed to check out at 11 AM, but due to the security risk and my tight schedule, I had no choice but to pack up all my belongings, load them into my car, and check out at 7 AM. I informed the front desk again, but at that point, my frustration had already peaked.
This experience was completely unacceptable. A properly functioning door lock is a basic expectation at any hotel. The lack of urgency in addressing such a serious security concern left me feeling unsafe the entire night. I will not be returning to this hotel, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before staying here.
