Pool was clean, room floors not so much. Wiped the floors and came out dirty. We got the valley view room and all the trees were in the way so all we got was tree views, not valley view. We were on the first floor. Other than that, the breakfast voucher was amazing for Olsen’s breakfast. Staff was great! Grounds were beautiful and room was spacious!! We will be staying again.

This was a beautiful stay. The property is nice and is close so all things are within walking distance but not so close that you hear town noise at night. Our room was facing the main drag and so there was some noise but it died down later at night, The AC in our room was super loud. We ended up not using it because the weather was fine but it was loud. All in all it was a nice stay.

The external facade and lobby are nice — and quite misleading. Be warned! The pictures on the website do not accurately represent the actual experience. As you navigate the property from the parking garage through exterior and interior hallways you quickly realize how distressed the property is. They tout a recent renovation, but the skid marks on the walls and baseboards signal otherwise. My room also had rust in the refrigerator, filthy floor flange on the toilet and black mold in the shower. Also, the website states housekeeping upon request. Not true! They offer it once after 3 days. Again, completely misleading. DO NOT PAY more than $150 per night for this hotel. It just isn’t worth it and they refuse to acknowledge or address the gap in charging $391 per night (holiday premium) for a sub-standard room and hotel experience relative to the website description. Do yourself a favor — for any rate over $200 per night (max for a holiday) — stay somewhere else or choose another time to visit Solvang. I wish I knew this before booking. I would’ve done the same! It isn’t worth paying Ritz Carlton rates for a Motel 6 experience, even in the quaint and lovely city of Solvang.

We liked everything about this property! So impressed with the spaciousness, cleanliness, and layout of the room. This room was even nicer in person than the pictures showed. Great amenities also. The Vinland Hotel and Lounge was a great spot for our Solvang getaway. Only two things that would have made our stay perfect: 1) we need an ADA room, which we got. However, the bed height was almost 6 inches higher than an average bed, and for a wheelchair user with limited mobility this is impossible to get into and out of without assistance; 2) every step and roll and thump of our neighbors above us shook the walls and rattled the nightstand contents - at a time we were not especially ready to be awake, nor awoken in that manner. Otherwise, the Vinland is a great option!

Not so peaceful and quiet :(

Overall is was okay. Wanted to escape for the weekend for a nice peaceful getaway and unfortunately someone’s dog barked all night up to an hour straight. The upstairs guests were very noisey and walking around all night It sounded like a stampede above us. Definitely not a hotel if you would like to get a quiet nights rest Tv also did not work for our entire stay. They did offer to fix it our last night but we opted to turn in early but only to be woken up by the dog next door The hospitality was great at the lounge
