15 minutes after checking-in, we noticed a very strong mold odor. Since I was there with my wife and kids and was worried for their well being I asked for a refund so I could go elsewhere. They denied my request. I was forced to pay and had to booked another room elsewhere.
The front desk staff was friendly and nice, but when I turned on the heater it smelled bad and I couldn't turn the heat on and it was very cold. I don't think they maintain their heaters.

It was sparse and clean which we assumed it would be. However, the smell of cleaning supplies was overwhelming.
There was NO SOAP, NO TOILET PAPERS, WHEN I WEHNT TO RECEPTION THERE WAS NO 1 . I WAITED FOR 20 MINUTES NO LUCK.
NO COFFEE CUPS NOTHING. ROOMS SMELL SOO BAD. ALMOST GOT SICK. I GOT ALL THE PICTURES FOR REFRANCE
Great location. I thought it may be noisy at night but was pleasantly surprised that it was very quiet. It's a bit away from the main State St restaurants scene so it's quiet. There are cafes nearby so morning coffee is not a problem. Clean, basic room.
Everything was fine, the only thing that was uncomfortable was that there was a person smoking outside and also smoking marijuana. I couldn't open my windows because the smell was too strong in my room
My two night stay was good overall. Staff was very kind and professional. It was a bit noisy when road was busy but overall quiet at night it is on a main street. I liked that the property was on the smaller side so it had better crowd control and parking was very close to the rooms. My only two issues really was the bed, they had it on wheels with brakes, but still moved so if you leaned on it moved, and my second issue was the HVAC unit, it had dust built up so when it was turned on it spewed it all over the bed near the unit luckily I slept on the other bed. Other than that it’s a good place, you pay for what you get and it worked out well for me. Hope this helps.
Nicely secluded to the rest of Santa Barbara (State St.). Normally as an ex-resident, I would have stayed with friends. The Inn was economical and away from noisy. businesses.
The best word to describe this hotel is "pleasant." It is a well-refurbished, small "motor court" hotel in a quiet residential neighborhood. It was spotlessly clean, with a generously sized shower, and a comfy bed with a nice warm duvet instead of a thin blanket. It supplies basic toiletries, and a microwave and refrigerator in each room. The mangement were very kind and accommodating. I will defintely choose this location next time I travel to Santa Barbara!
No bedspread.
TV was in demo mode and then didn’t work.
Sink didn’t drain.
Lumpy pillows.
Paper keycard holder was used multiple times and unsanitary and dirty.
Room
REEKED of cheap air freshener.
Luggage rack was broken.
Three metal hangers were provided from a dry cleaner.
Staff was unhelpful. Had to kick them out of the room at 9pm because I was tired of waiting for them to fix the TV. And then she questioned why I asked her to leave.
The blue eyed man at checkout was less than helpful.
I requested a refund from Expedia when I was still in the parking lot and the property declined.
Motel was disgusting. Don’t stay here or the sister property.
