Affordable Gem in Santa Barbara

We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight at the Lavender Inn By the Sea! The staffers were extremely friendly and accommodating. Our room was immaculate. Just blocks to the ocean!

A Good Place

Lavender Inn was a good place to stay in a great location. We enjoyed wine and cheese in the evening and their breakfast in the morning. Our first floor room was a bit dated and musty. A dehumidifier was located in the room. The room was clean and well kept. The bathroom was updated and large.

The property is well maintained and the staff very helpful. The wine and cheese at end of day is nicely prepared and a good way to wind down from the day before heading out to explore restaurants in the evening. The breakfast is surprisingly good with more than your basic continental selection of baked goods.

We were disappointed with the accommodations, perhaps it was the room we were given. It was a New Year’s Eve /New Year’s Day stay. We realize it was an older place, but we didn’t expect everything inside the room to be of a certain age. Champagne bucket with glasses, but no champagne offered. When you first walked in, it smelled damp and there was an air purifier in the living room. Needless to say it wasn’t a good first impression and we will not be returning in the future. On our two day get away to Santa Barbara, we expected more of an experience from Lavender Inn by the Sea.
