Decent room for the relative price compared to the area. Only con was that the sound traveled from room to room and the loud neighboring doors woke me up as people open and closed them throughout the night.

The room itself was great. The parking was not. My room was all the way in the back of the hotel and the only parking I could find was in the front of hotel by the lobby. It was a long walk.

Best part of this hotel was the breakfast, and the pretty grounds. Room itself was cramped and a bit tired. Upon walking in was immediately struck by odd odor. Wonder if they’ve had flooding/water issues. Room seemed moist/humid (even for coastal town). Served purpose (despite price hike) since it was for UCSB move-in.

I’ve stayed here several times over the past five years and it’s not as clean and up to date as it used to be. The grounds and landscaping are well kept. The rooms are okay, very average, but it’s just outrageously priced for what you get. The breakfast is adequate but nothing special. Easy parking. We paid nearly $100 in taxes and fees for a two night stay.

The facility itself was good. The plumbing was extremely loud and we were awaken by a noise resembling a train coming through the room every time the shower was used in other rooms. Otherwise the location worked for us and the room was in great condition.

After long day, we come to room to find out room was not cleaned. When I request service, been told I suppose to request room service 24hrs in advance and ask if we need fresh towels can be collected from front desk. I travel lot and this is the first time it happens to me. To me it is courtesy to let customers know when they check in when they are not planning to clean rooms. Most hotels, its customer option to opt out cleaning not other way around.
