We overlooked the unfriendly staff, the rusty lamp, the broken exhaust fan, the dirty floor, and the disappointing breakfast but the final straw was not being able to use the hot tub. We just bought season passes to Cedar Point so we were hoping to be able to find a place where we could come back repeatedly. This was not it! The location was great, not too far from the amusement park with close stores and restaurants. There are many other hotel options in the area and for our next trip we will choose to stay elsewhere. We were awaken in the middle of the night by the fire alarm. Which we came to find out was due to someone trying to smoke in their room. Our key card would not work after a long day at the park. When we went to the front desk the card was fixed but no apology given, there was barely talk of any kind. We originally thought she was just an unhappy employee but come to find out she was actually the manager. When checking out we brought up these issues but she again only gave excuses. Never an apology. Point blank said that the only way the owner would hear about our experience was to leave a review. Very sad that she could care less how our stay went.

bottom sheets had boogers and I had to clean the hot tub in our room myself because of the amount of grub and hair in the tub. The floors also had a large amount of dirt in them and the room had a mildew smell. Other than the little but big things that we had came across, it was a great stay. Great customer service at front desk!

This hotel needs a make over It's very outdated and not very clean The fixtures in my room were rusty The AC / heat unit was very dirty The soap dispensers in the shower were dirty My room smelled of old stale beer

Loved our room and the staff was very friendly. The bathroom shower doors were a little broken but nothing major. Very clean and spacious. Definitely worth it.

The staff were very nice and room was clean. The people above us were loud early and late at night. The breakfast pastries and biscuits were very dry. The grass was too tall at the side of the building for my small dog to to potty. They did cut it on the day we were leaving (Friday)

Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service. The receptionist, Britney made a great first impression of the hotel and was the most friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to help our stay be remarkable. The room was comfortable and immaculate and perfect for our family of four. Complimentary breakfast was great, just what we needed to begin our day in the amusement park. The location was also perfect. Less than 10 min from Kalahari and 20 min from Cedar point. I was very pleased with our stay. Overall it was a great experience and thanks to Britney we will look forward to returning next year. …highly recommend👍

We hoped for 2 double beds and a sofa bed, instead we were offered a King bed, 2 double beds and a sofa bed for a family of 5. The room is spacious with double vanity, dual showers and a private toilet. The only downside is, we can hear the talk from the adjacent rooms from the toilet room.

First and foremost, the property didn’t have an elevator! We are on a long road trip with our dogs and have a lot of stuff to lug into hotel rooms each night. This was so inconvenient and such a huge pain. The nonsmoking room reeked of smoke. It felt so unclean I slept on top of the covers for fear of bed bugs. It’s also directly across from a grain mill where freight trains are running all night long. We were just passing through but I would not recommend.

Overall a nice place to stay
Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations. Bathroom was clean and the shower worked, but there was no fan - so the mirrors get all steamed up and it feels like a sauna when you're done. Wi-Fi worked and was good enough for occasional browsing and audio streaming. Beds were comfortable, AC worked well (it was in the 90s during our stay). It was quiet - didn't hear a lot of people being loud - and although this hotel IS near an active railroad line, the trains didn't bother me or my colleage aged daughter. The continental breakfast was nice (typical coffee, bagels, muffins, cereal, juices) and that area was well maintained. Only other issue we had was we stayed 3 nights but every new day our key cards had to be "recharged" or we couldn't get in our room. Minor annoyance. The staff was nice and I had no other issue besides the lack of vent fan in the bathroom. Would stay again, probably will next summer - the location is great, close to everything we wanted to be at.

Won’t stay here again
No automatic doors at the entrance. Pizza delivery guy there held the door open so I could get my luggage in. No elevator so I had to lug my luggage up a flight of stairs beyond a closed door. Bathroom had 1/10 of a roll of toilet paper. Floor was not clean. Remote control didn’t work and was very dirty. Bed highly uncomfortable. Room was set to 60 upon entering, way too cold.

A bed with a door that locks
Pay attention to the size of the bed in your booking. They’re not queens. Nothing great about this place. A bed with a door that locks. Nothing awful. The room smelled old and funny, rust in the shower, tub area. The pool was clean. Nothing great, nothing awful. In the words of my kids it was mid.
