We had to check in via a kiosk because no one came to the front desk after ringing the bell, three times. When we finally made it to our room, the key card didn’t work. We had to go back downstairs and wait for an employee to finally help us. They are in need of updating and improved cleanliness.

The staff was great! The hotel itself was fine, but the bathroom for our room was not great. It was dirty and outdated. The shower needed a deep clean and new caulk as there was pink mold all along the caulk lines. When we walked into our room for the first time there was hair and toothpaste in the sink. Additionally, on our last day, there was a huge house centipede in the shower. This hotel is not worth the price tag.

Nice location for our things to do. Clean room and spacious for two people. Breakfast selections and quality could have been better, but not a deal breaker. Staff was friendly and helpful getting us a first floor room. Enjoyable stay overall.

Property needs a rehab. We stayed in a suite and checked in with 4 people only 2 sets of towels, the pull out had nothing pillows, there was no remote for TV in the room. The staff helped with towels and remote. They didn’t want to go down for something else. For the price a bit disappointed.

Property was in good shape, nicely decorated, must have been fairly recently renovated as most things appeared very new. Location is excellent for whatever your purpose in the area. Very reasonable distance from the lake, from downtown Sandusky, within 15-20mins of Cedar Point.

AWFUL! First of all, I booked through Expedia and was supposed to be at the country inn in Milan. Somehow, we ended up here with my parents ending up in Milan, these two hotels may be under the same name but they are NOT THE SAME QUALITY. When we checked in there was BLOOD ON THE HEADBOARD, popcorn and candy on the floor, soap caked onto the countertops and when I asked to be moved to another room the front desk said I would have to wait. Ok fine, can you get someone to come clean it? She told me no one would be available to clean until after 11am. Absolutely disgusting. When we got back to our “clean” room the food was still all over the floor!! I called Expedia to try to get switched to the hotel I intended on being at in the first place but they informed me after contacting the hotel that the manager would not be available until Wednesday. This was on Sunday. The front desk told Expedia that there was no way the manager would issue a refund to switch.I’m including pictures of the bloody headboard, dirty floors, disgusting hallway and the breakfast they put on display which was a JOKE! The hallways stayed littered with trash the entire time, and it wasn’t new trash, it was old like they never clean the hallways. Any time I walked downstairs I would hear the front desk talking LOUDLY about the other guests and how they had an attitude Maybe the attitude comes from being stuck in a blood soaked filthy disgusting hotel room.

We got there to be greeted by a computer that you couldn’t hear talk over the real life employees talking. Just for the computer to disconnect out of nowhere. We walked into our room which smelled god awful. And candy wrappers on the floor from a previous guest.

Nice rooms with fridge, microwave, and coffee.. Incredible breakfast with hot and cold variety but our favorite was how warm the pool water was! So relaxing! Great staff! Holly, Shelby and Allison were wonderful! Great stay! We will definately be back!

Called Friday night as I couldn’t make up there for my initial reservation to let them know as I was a single Mother with two boys it was going to be really late and I lived in Columbus and didn’t want to make the 2.5 hour drive by myself in the dark since work was over unexpectedly by a few hours too long!! I called the actual hotel themselves not Expedia. The front desk said ok I will let them know and the manager and at least get your night comped considering the circumstances and we don’t want you driving if you don’t feel safe either. I didn’t expect them to do that, but I appreciated that whoever it was it was a male so you would make sure that they took our room off of Friday night whatever they do at night when they do their audit or whatever for the nighttime financial report, I said OK thank you and I hung up. It’s been a battle ever since as they did end up charging me for that night and I was denied a refund for that. It’s not about the money, but it’s principal if you’re going to do something and you tell me that I didn’t ask for it, but you told me you would do it!!! Now I was made to look like a liar and that was never said to me. I didn’t make that up and that person is acting like they never sent that to me. What is going on with humanity in the world anymore? What happened to the good honest people I’m an honest person. I have no reason to lie total for three nights was only $212. If you say going to do something then do it and don’t lie about it later!

The stay was great. Breakfast was delicious. The pool could use a makeover but was good for a swim. Shower pressure and hot water were great! Friendly staff.

Not very nice

This hotel is dated and in need of renovation. The WiFi is terrible. I was not able to connect my laptop to the internet. I check with the guy at the front desk and he was no help. He said some people can't connect. There was a plumbing problem down the hall and our water was turned off. Also a problem with the cable TV and it was off for a time. The breakfast was good. I will not stay here again.

This is an old, run down property. One day the water was off for hours. Another day there was a strong odor of marijuana smoke in one of the stairwells. If you are staying a while, they will only clean your room every 3 days, which seems ridiculous to me. Hotel staff was not forthright or accommodating when confronted with a major situation that required action.

The second night of our stay the cold water went out in several rooms, ours being one of them. We couldnt shower or flush our toilet. Management has yet to contact is on the refund for that day by email or phone.
