This hotel is so relaxing. I usually get a Jr. Suite, but i have learned that each one is different, so when you find a room you like remeber it and request it.

I loved everything about the property except the electrical plugs. They were very loose. I had plugged in my phone to charge and later looked over and it was on the floor. I tried several plugs and they were all very loose. Also, one lamp did not work and we discovered the same problem. It has come unplugged because of the loose outlet.

It is an ok place

The staff is good, but the place really needs an upgrade. The carpets are old and there is a smell when we walked into the room. They do not provide hypo allergenic sheets or pillows, so people with allergy need to be careful. Lastly, their breakfast is not good, however there is a Mexican restaurant next door. In summary for the price I really expected better!

First off when I first checked in the night, manager was absolutely awesome. Polite, professional, and very knowledgeable of any question I had. The room was clean and OK just a little dated. The continental breakfast was really disappointing. Not a lot of fresh fruit just a boiled egg was offered instead of I usually see scramble. Packaged oatmeal also was the only thing offered for that. And contrast to the night manager, the gentleman that was sitting at the desk during the day was more interested in watching his phone with his earbuds in then maintaining order when the children were running and screaming around during breakfast. They were running up and down the stairs, OK children are children and yes, the parents should’ve been the ones to stop that but as an employee of the hotel you would think that he would’ve said something?

Great place to stay if you are visiting Hearst Castle. 7 min drive. Nice option with the coast right behind. Room is a bit old and you can hear the neighbors talking. Otherwise, a great place to stay with a nice Mexican restaurant right next door.

Anniversary trip

Stayed for anniversary extended weekend. Love the area. Have stayed multiple times at the Morgan. Very nice location, comfortable bed, nice view.

I liked staying at the hotel, the decor was really nice. I enjoyed drinking coffee and listening to the birds chirp in the morning. I also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Most the staff was great, except for the morning person at the desk. She was not friendly at all, I would say good morning and she wouldn’t say a word. She did have really nice nails though. The beach is about 5 minutes away, and it’s very serine and quiet.

The experience as a whole was enjoyable. The rate was excellent compared to nearby Cambria. This resulted in us extending our stay. The room size was good. Our greatest gripe was that the mattresses were VERY OLD. Whenever you rolled over you could hear springs going off. They were firm and the fitted sheets came off CONSTANTLY. Also, the pool was VERY inadequate.They did offer a light breakfast with hard boiled eggs, waffles and cereals etc. this is something that most places in this area are farming out to third parties.If you want an affordable place to stay in the area that is clean but you spend most of your time out and about this would be a good choice. However, I would not by any stretch of the imagination call it a destination resort.
