We stopped here en route from San Francisco to LA. Overall for one night then place was fine. Most of the issues with this place were cosmetic and nothing some paint couldn't fix. The doors into the room and onto the balcony both didn't close properly so it was noisy at night. Overall a decent enough place to stop for a night but probably wouldn't stay any longer

Undergoing substandard renovation. Dumpsite for building tear out at corner of property two stories high. No remote for tv, light over bathroom sink wasn’t functioning. Old linens, minimal toiletries and breakfast is just cereal and yogurt. Heating unit gave off toxic fumes so we were cold at night. Stay somewhere else if you can. Housekeeping staff was a redeeming quality!

Very clean. Affordable, comfortable, roomy. Wish the other budget motels would put that same special touch on everything. My kids thought we were in a fancy hotel!!!

It appears that they under a renovation and the rooms are not 100% completed. It was an average stay. All the hotels/motels on this trac seemed worn. Not sure if any other one would've been better or worse.

The shutters were very dusty, property wasn’t that bad but we have some loud noises in the middle of the night police came, I don’t mean that is the hotels fault but is what happened and we couldn’t sleep. The breakfast didn’t have a good variety it was very limited.

The patio had dirty chairs. They chose to place a whole bunch of construction trash in front of my unit. A couple was shouting on the hallway for about an hr and no one from administration showed up in the middle of the night

Comforter was dirty and the sheets were scratchy. Bed wasn’t very comfortable and no extra blankets in the room. Got cold. Having the microwave was nice.

Great hotel
This hotel was great very clean and spacious the only down side there’s no elevator. The beach was so close by very little people I can’t wait to return to this hotel in the future

Ok for one night but I wouldn’t stay again.
Front desk staff was very nice and upgraded us. But the “ocean view” was so far away that it was basically a parking lot view. Our room wasn’t clean even though we were given the key to the room. The room we finally got was very old, although fairly clean. The hallways had a very strong disinfectant odor. We won’t be back.

We were in the area to visit Hearst Castle. The hotel is conveniently located for that attraction and there is nearby beach access. There is a sign on the hotel advising that registration is directly behind you. It is actually a bit off to the side. The gentleman at the front desk was hard to understand. I wasn't sure if he found my reservation or just issued a key card. The room was large and airy. The windows actually open, though the shutters take some force to open. If the fog had lifted we might have been able to see the ocean on the horizon. There is a slightly raised area around the sink and into the bathroom. It is probably an inch or less but I managed to trip on it several times. The bar holding up the shower curtain was poorly attached in both rooms we had - the first in which my husband accidentally dislodged the bar and in our replacement room where we treated the shower curtain with extreme caution. The wifi password we were given didn't work. I called the front desk and the problem was quickly resolved. The breakfast was better than expected - fresh apples, bananas, a variety of bagels, breads, and muffins. We didn't try the biscuits and gravy.

Terrible experience staying here! The office isn't even part of the main building, it’s across the parking lot and upon entering, there was a really musty smell. The hallways of the hotel building smelled old and dirty and although it looked like the hotel rooms were renovated, we had to clean the room ourselves because it was so dirty, dusty and full of dead spiders. When opening the drawers we found dead skin from past guests, theres stains and grime all along the walls and the ceilings. Complimentary breakfast? More like complimentary stale bread and cereal. The breakfast room also had a musty smell by the way. A guest asked for regular milk and someone there brought out a jug with milk and tried to smell it if it was still okay. The guest tried to smell it and said it wasn’t and went back to her table disappointed because they only served oat milk. They had biscuits and gravy but the gravy just tasted like flour and pepper while the biscuits were horrid tasting like cardboard with the texture of a rock. I definitely would not recommend staying at this place, spend a little more money somewhere else because you’ll really be disappointed here.
