Cute, comfortable, affordable stay - a gem in Cambria! Our room was well appointed and clean, felt secluded and perfect for a weekend getaway. The location by the beach is so beautiful. My only note is that I wish they had more insulated duvet or comforter, but I think they had swapped out for more “summer” bedding as it was early May… but still a little cold at night. Bed was otherwise very comfortable (high quality mattress and pillows). Hope to stay again sometime

Not enough room

All the staff were very nice. We got the ada room. The bathroom was large enough but still had just a tub. No roll in shower. Also the room itself was not large enough to easily maneuver a wheelchair. There was no closet, only a small bar to hang clothes. It had a cute little patio in the back but it had been quite awhile since the table and chairs had been cleaned. Also the fence was falling down.

Enjoyed a nice walk along the bluff, a nice brunch on Main street, visiting the elephant seals, a tour of Hearst castle, and a sunset over the ocean during our quick visit. Coming from the midwest it was odd to have a room with only heat and it took us a night to get used to how best to manage the temperature.

We stayed here one night in a king fireplace room. The room was clean and had all the basic necessities needed for our stay. The bed was very comfortable and had plenty of linens provided. I appreciated the in-room coffee maker with Starbucks coffee. There was a mini fridge large enough for several drinks and small food items. There was a safe though we didn’t use it. The game room and pool were a big hit! We explored the nearby trails that led down to the ocean and purveyed the grounds which had a couple outdoor games and fire pits. We used the largest one at night for s’mores. Having the Cowtipper available for breakfast was very convenient and the staff was very welcoming. The front desk staff was very friendly and happy to assist with anything. There are a couple restaurants within a minute or two drive unless you want to drive into town. The boardwalk was a great way to spend the morning before our drive home. I would definitely recommend this place to someone wanting a quiet retreat.

The picture and other reviews doesn’t bring the justification of this hotel. The room was very dirty and the bed sheets were old. The blanket that we got was old. There was no AC unit so the heater that they had in the room would heat the room very slowly and then the room was very dirty. There was spiderwebs everywhere, and dust everywhere.

Everything was lovely, especially walking access to the beach. We appreciated the firewood very much. We were surprised at how quiet it was. A microwave in the room would be a nice addition.
