This property is very photogenic as long as you avoid the sea pool. The sea pool was very dirty, dark and gross. It does not appear to have any circulation of water, nor does it appear to ever be cleaned as it was full of trash and looked very stagnant and suspect. Breakfast and creviches were ok on the menu but the lobster and steak on the dinner menu was $35 and terrible. It looked nothing like the pictures on the menu and the lobster was very overcooked. I paid but did not eat at all beyond the first bite. The room itself was comfortable and very nice sheets on the bed. The ac kept our room very cool but there were no dining options in air conditioning areas that were not in open area. The waiters did not smile and seemed bothered by our presence and service was very slow. We stayed at 4 properties on this trip and despite amazing views, it was the most expensive but my least favorite on this trip. The Garten hotel was much superior and even the Barcelo in San Salvador were much nicer compared to this property. I would not stay again.

This is an excellent property however there are a few details that spoil the experience. It is mostly the noise outside the room in the early hours when you are trying to sleep a bit late. Our room was near a housekeeper closet and the staff are very noisy. Slamming doors and having loud conversations that don’t allow you to sleep. Also the fridge turns on at odd hours and is very noisy. Finally the fresh air dispenser makes a loud noise every few hours . If you are not sensitive to noise it will be a great experience.

This is a really nice hotel that has one of the best views and the hotel has a really nice architecture but a lot of areas that could be enjoyable, don’t have were to seat or use the area. The restaurant is really good but should have in the pool area something more casual. But it’s one of the best hotels y la libertad

Very nice facility. Comfortable accommodations even though they could use a nice sofa or something alike in them. Pools were spectacular and the service was top notch. I would suggest assigning more service staff, especially around the pools as it seemed that one or two people were assigned for all guests. That made the wait sometimes more than ideal, but the servers were top notch. Courteous and helpful. Same for the restaurant. I will definitely return if the opportunity arises.

Awful experience booking with you, I lost arount $300, how such a big company like expedia deal with this type of hotels, I was suppose to celebrate my girlfriend birthday there, I booked the hotel on the 7th afternoon intentionally for the next day Aug 8th, your system beside it was late afternoom never show any warning and let me do it, 2 hours later I saw it was wrong, I call the hotel, I contact you guys in Expedia, no one could help me to get my money, this is such a bad experience, how come after I saw the mistake and call no body could help me, it was a genuine mistake and I try to fix it, you could not do it, you say hotel will auth the refund and hotel said you as platform would do it. This is really awful, no even rebooking no even half refund was offer for it. The worst booking app and hotel, come on you just took my $300 for no one to stay there. I feel robber, this Alcantilados owner and expedia stole this $300 from me. This is a scam, you guys never help.

The place was nice. However, when I checked in, I was given a room without oceano view even though I paid for an ocean view room. The staff argued that they were no other room available and dint do much to help fix the situation. I made my reservation almost two months before my checkin date. That was very disappointing.
