Quick trip kinda place

Good for an inexpensive place. Clean and conveniently located by food and stores. Easy access to the freeway. Only down fall for me was the nosies from the laundry facility under my room and the consent bussing from the refrigerator. Im a light sleeper so I noticed it all night. But it worked for the hours I was in the room and my trip. I would stay here again.

Average room for the price point. We needed a clean place to sleep and shower-- the room was not the highlight of our trip. The room was clean with micro and fridge which I like when I travel. The room showed some signs of wear (scuffs on the walls, sink smelled and likely needs to cleaned out) but everything worked and was tidy. You can hear every step from upstairs (rooms have vinyl flooring which doesn't provide much sound proofing.) Front desk was pleasant and helpful. Very convenient to restaurants, grocery, gas and freeway to get to so many places nearby. Multiple walking trails nearby.

As a parent of a Cal Poly student, I believe that a one-night stay is very affordable and serves this purpose. I came in at 2:30 a.m., but the staff made arrangements for a locked box to pick up a room keycard with pre-arrangement by contacting the hotel staff. It was so easy. The parking is super bright, even at 2:30 a.m., and I felt very safe.

Vagabond motel

The Vagabond is, as motels go, fine: it was clean, the service was prompt and friendly and the water was hot. The bed was pretty shopworn and bordering on the uncomfortable and there were no dining opportunities nearby (I don't consider Denny's a "dining opportunity") but for an overnight stay it fit the bill.

The room is clean and newly remodeled. The space has no closet and is smaller than some Vangabond hotels . The heater did not warm up the room enough. The location is near Costco whole sale. Overall it is good for budge travel.
