Overall decent stay

The pool and the waterpark was excellent. Pros - pool was nice and so was the water slide. Rooms were as expected. Laundry onsite for free. Cons - the layout of the shower in the bathroom was off and there was no way to shower without the floors getting wet. The towels or our swimsuits never seemed to get dry. The bathroom shower faucet was stripped and you had to adjust it oddly to turn off the water. The daily housekeeping didn’t vacuum one day and we had a bit of a mess since we had gone to the beach. They also never took our old towels that we left in the shower since they were soaking wet. Lastly they charge you 40 a day which then turns into a credit at the restaurant.

Hotel was nice. Staff was nice. The only thing was that the TV wasn’t working for two days n I sleep with the tv on .. no biggy They moved me to another room. The sofa bed had bedbugs we ran back to the room we were in at first and they only credited me $75 that wasn’t nice at all .

Overall it was a good stay. The room was clean, the grounds were kept up, staff was nice, conveniently located near all the places we wanted to visit. I would definitely stay here again.

There is a destination fee of $40 per night. And you are not paying that while booking online !! Just know that. The destination fee is pretty much $40 a day that you have to spend at the bar/ restaurant. At the marriot and it does not roll over. Use it or lose it. Other than that. Great stay. They have beach chairs and towels and umbrellas you can take to the ocean. It’s walkable about 7 mins. Great bars, on the ocean and next door. 10/10 stay…. About. A $14 uber from the airport.,we got a uber at 2:30 am from the airport then to the airport it was at 3:12. So uber runs all night. You’re good

Unexpected Charges & Unpleasant Odors

I stayed at Residence Inn Isla Verde San Juan and chose to pay at the property. At check-in, I confirmed there were no additional charges beyond the known $40 per night resort fee. However, at checkout, I was surprised with an extra $20 per night charge (totaling $43.60 after taxes). When I questioned it, staff first claimed it was required, but I later learned it was because I mentioned in the booking comments that I would prefer a room away from the elevators if possible. At no point was I told this would cost extra, nor did I agree to it. Adding to the frustration, there was a persistent foul odor—the area around my refrigerator and the hallway smelled like a dirty diaper. The same odor was noticeable in hallways on multiple floors. Between the undisclosed charge and the unpleasant smell, this was a disappointing stay. Double-check your bill and be aware of potential cleanliness issues. I expected honesty and better upkeep, but both were lacking.

It was good for what is was, the pool, breakfast, service, & room were good. Nothing was really excellent but no real bad experiences either. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet even though you are so close to the airport. I would go back again.
