I booked the property for 3 nights. I would agree with other reviews - the staff was VERY friendly and helpful. The room was okay. The A/C blew air right on you when you sleep, if you like when cold air is blowing in your face all night, then it’s a great stay for you. The room was clean and you could smell chemicals used in cleaning. The hotel reeked Pinesol or whatever solution they use for cleaning. The patio was closed for maintenance. What I didn’t like was the noise coming from the street. You could hear every car, every conversation, every motorcycle. And you could hear guests going to their rooms. The hotel advertises itself “for those who are young at heart”, so maybe I am not a good fit for this hotel. Anyway, if you want to have a good and restful night of sleep, this hotel might be not good for this activity.

I just got home and I am definitely thinking about the next time I will be there. Perfect birthday! Clean, amazing views, close to everything. You don't want to go out of that place. OMG and the main reason I will return. Staff. They are the best! I'm so sorry I don't have the name of the guy at front desk last nigt but thank you, you are amazing. I will return soon.

My stay at el Colonial OSJ
This was a great stay at this hotel Service: A+ Thanks Luis and peer for been such a great representants of the hotel and for going above expectations. I have nothing else than positive remarks for your service and willingness to make the customer happy. Housekeeping: In general looks good but there are some areas being upgraded/repaired that needs attention. I am sure this will not be an issue soon Comfort: I do not need anything else to feel like home there. The bed was excellent as well as the operation of the air conditioner. Hotel instructions were clear and easy to follow and anything else required the champions there took care of it.

I absolutely love this hotel . The room and the bathroom were a little small but the location was perfect . The staff wonderful and very helpful ! They also need to have irons a steamer just doesn’t work but overall great hotel !!’ Will stay again

The place is beautiful and safe. Had a minor inconvenient and staff was so kind and help as soon as they can. Staff is great, the manager was so kind. Love the drinks at entrance. Only recommendation: an update on bed sheets.

Place is a beautiful old building, but most important the staff is great, very attentive and so willing to make you feel welcomed. Location is great and this place is in the middle of everything.
