My stay in San Juan was absolutely wonderful. From the moment I checked in, I felt like I was in a place where guests are truly cared for. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help—every team member, from reception to management, went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. The hotel's location is perfect—right in the heart of everything, with easy access to major attractions, amazing restaurants, and beautiful beaches. The view from the room was breathtaking, especially if you choose one with an ocean view. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and equipped with everything you need to feel at home. The service was outstanding—every request was handled quickly and professionally. On top of that, the atmosphere of the hotel was so cozy that I truly felt relaxed and enjoyed my vacation to the fullest. Gorgeous, clean, safe hotel, right on the water, with truly impeccable service. We stayed in an ocean view suite with a comfortable queen bed, a huge bathroom with a tub and shower, a small kitchen with a mini fridge, sink, and microwave. Very convenient and comfortable. We ordered room service two nights and it was delivered promptly and, although a bit expensive, was delicious. Please note: There are no dishes or silverware in the kitchenette, but guest services is happy to bring up what you need.

Hotel is gorgeous and very comfortable. Stayed in the Commodore ocean front suite. Everything in the room was lovely. The 2 patios and ocean views are stunning. Sleeper sofa was very comfortable! Housekeeping was always very slow. Our room on arrival was supposed to be ready at 4, but was not ready until 5:15. Hotel comped us dinner for the inconvenience. Daily housekeeping only came on our first day for a full clean. Every other day we had to call multiple times to get someone to come clean our room. Even then, we only received light cleans and not full cleans or replacement of glasses, etc. That was frustrating. Service at all restaurants at the resort is slow. Be prepared to wait for your food. Nearby restaurants operated at a much more normal pace. Strongly recommend checking out neighborhood restaurants instead! Hotel food was very overpriced for what it was.

We stayed a week at the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel in San Juan. The hotel / rooms are clean upon arrival and the staff is super friendly. The facilities (pool/gym) were excellent. However, we felt that the hotel and its restaurants are a bit overpriced (e.g. $20 for a glass of Rosé at the pool [excl. tax and tip]). In addition, rooms services did not clean our room meticulously (e.g. dust on bedside tabel, dirty mirrors).

Was really disappointed with my stay here. Had picked this option because it had a high star rating by former guests. My experience was raw worse. We had an 8 night stay here and 4 of those days housekeeping neglected to make up our rooms. Had to call each evening so it could be done. Complained to front office and got a $150 credit but still not what I expected from a highly rated hotel. Also the beach access was very disappointing. Directly behind the hotel was a small beach with rocks and big waves. Had to walk a little further to a much larger beach but the Vanderbilt guests were confined to a very small area with limited view of beach whereas neighboring hotel had the majority of prime beach space.

I will never book with Condado Vanderbilt again. I arranged a 20th wedding anniversary trip and virtually every part of it was bungled by the hotel. The concierge team was virtually useless with the exception of Fransisco - who was great. We had such high hopes going into the trip. They sent me a brochure with different tour options. But it turns out some of those tours weren’t actually available anymore - and they even booked me on the wrong type of tour. I was promised responses and follow ups to try to resolve their mistake l, but they never came. So I kept having to call and email them to try to get answers. The lack of communication was a huge red flag. But, this booking was during the holidays and we couldn’t find a feasible alternative hotel, so we kept this reservation. During our stay, we had a broken phone and coffee maker that were never fixed, it took multiple calls to housekeeping for basics. If you’re planning a vacation and want to actually relax - steer clear of this place.
