Unfortunately we had barely any WiFi and no service while at the hotel, which made planning our trip while in PR/finding restaurants difficult. Our bed and pillows looked slept in at checkin, with food stains, hair, blood stains, dirt, makeup, and sand. We asked for all new linen and the front desk helped find us clean ones which we replaced ourselves. One more con to add- as two women staying by ourselves, we didn’t feel totally safe with just the doorknob key lock. Our top latch was broken and there are no additional security locks on the door. Otherwise, the location is relatively quiet and convenient, especially during the week.

This property is very basic. Pros: location, close to beach, pool, sitting areas, bed comfort and size of the room we're good. Don't expect much beyond the basic comforts: we found it very difficult to get extra clean towels of any kind, extra soap, and no one is coming in to clean the room while you are there. It was perfect for a 3 nite stay, as we understood the value trade-off this well located, value-priced option.

I got this hotel to support smaller hotels in the area. When we arrived there was no clear direction to where check in was and wondered in the area a bit. It was stated there was parking but the parking is the streets of San Juan or paying public parking at other hotels. We checked in and was told there is no Internet. We got into the room and the room was a key lock but with enough giggling the door unlocked without the key. When I got in I just wanted to have a nice shower after a long day and lay down. Jumped in the shower to find there was no hot water. When my boyfriend went to grab me a towel he saw blood on them and on the sheets underneath the towel. He took it to the front and informed them of the blood and was told the hotel does not have extra towels or sheets so I would have to wait till they washed it and just sleep without the sheets for now. So I had to take a cold shower and then air dry. When I grabbed the pillows to lay down I turned it around and saw a black boot print on the back of the pillow. I ended up just leaving less than hour after checking in. To many cons and not enough pros

Pros: Great location. Walked everywhere and great places to eat nearby. Nice pool for a dip and sitting area, friendly and helpful staff person(Ricardo), water for water bottles, a block from beach, spacious room, plenty of drawers space, okay shower. Clean comfortable bed. Cons: musty upon entering, room was not cleaned even once during five night stay. Just garbage emptied and toilet cleaned once. Had to ask for clean towels that were rationed. No place for toiletries, no bath mat but it showed up day 3. Some street noise. Could use new curtains (dirty)and some updating. Overall, despite the cons, it worked very well for our short stay. We were super happy with location and proximity to beach. We don’t tend to stay in room too much.

Place could be ok with some work, bar closed, rooms were not really that clean, our shade didn’t work so there was an absolutely no natural light. Staff was generally nice and it’s in a good location but it needs a lot of work.

We switched from our AirBNB to this property during the power outage. They were able to provide us with power during our stay and a really cute and quaint place to rest our head while on vacation for the new year. Although there was no hot water because of the outage, they were honest in giving us a timeframe on when hot water would be restored.

I reserved one night for my mom and dad and my mom was not happy with the room. There was a leak in the room and the walls were very thin she could hear people snoring next door. The location is convenient to beach and eateries but I will not consider this as an option for future visits to San Juan.

This boutique hotel was an excellent choice for a family vacation day while in Puerto Rico. The facility was incredibly clean, staff was very kind and helpful during the duration of our stay. The beach is easily accessible and clean. We were able to easily walk to various locations for shopping and food without any complications. I highly recommend the wind chimes boutique Hotel for your next trip to Puerto Rico.
