Quaint hotel in the heart of condado
This is my second stay at the hotel. I enjoyed my room and stay overall. I will say though, my friend stayed in the other side of the hotel and it needs a bit of an upgrade. It’s very old and not well kept. There was a lot of condensation and humidity and mosquitos on top of that. I suggest that should be corrected because then the mosquitos can eventually become a risk factor for the staff and guests alike.

Unique, historic property. Felt safe. Architectural charm, on small scale. Its sister property Acacia Boutique Hotel is worth visiting as you also have access to their lap pool, which is warm. Must check out the Niche restaurant at this locale, down the block from At Wind Chimes, for French and Puerto Rican fusion cuisine/fine dining. Older property in need of some upgrades but quite good if youre looking for a low key experience. Would revisit.

All staff was nice, but one person. One thig they have to make sure is that they put signs that there is not smoking even at the balconies in the hotel. But but over all everything was beautiful and nice.

Very hard to find parking spot. The shower was Clogged i almost drowned taking a shower…. Was disgusting having my feet’s full of dirty water… no hot water on shower…. Was colder that anything… 😓😓. Iam very disappointed this time…. 😭😭

First of all the place had no power . They didn’t accommodate us after we asked them about the power. We literally couldn’t even get ready or anything. The place told me in advance since my flight was cancelled and I didn’t arrive til next day that the day I was checking out I could stay until my flight left . They LIED . They made me check out and wait in the hall way for hours !!! Worst experience ever

I chose this property because its located in my Dads🙏and grandparent's hometown, built in 1929, beautiful grounds and close to the beach. The Canales / Beltran family also owned businesses in San Juan. I only wished the rooms were equipped with a mini refrigerator/Microwave or at least a coffee/tea maker. I was accommodated with a wine fridge and I appreciate it. I got the impression from the staff was like you get what you pay for, when I had inquired about these items. I have stayed in worse places but having the items mentioned above made it bearable. The bathroon window could have had better covering for privacy. I had to put a towel up. The bed was uncomfortable, with a thicker mattress cover It will make a difference. I plan on visiting again soon and I would like to stay at this property. All issues mentioned above are quick fixes and will help keep the property relevant. Thank you for the hospitality.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Very bad service. They don't clean, they don't change the towels, they don't take out the trash, they don't clean shampoo, soap or paper.

I honestly felt very comfortable I just wish and hope next time they don’t give me the last room in teh back in the 2nd floor! But everything else was great Parking was a little difficult and different but I managed. The pool was very cool and with that colonial look around the property THANK YOU GUYS. I honestly feel embarrassed about what I’m gonna say but the first night I got very drunk like very drunk, and one of the staff was around and helped me go up the stairs and open my room gave me the keys and say good night! And closed the door on his way out saying if you need anything I will be in the front desk that’s all I remember and it was making me feel much much safer there thank you who ever you was.
