This hotel has seen better days

I have been traveling to Costa Rica since 2005 and this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed her before. It is deteriorating. A/C did not work and the phone in our room did not work. I went to the front desk to let them know. Clerk was accommodating but rude and dismissive the first time I went to the front desk. He said someone would come to the room to check the A/C. 30 minutes later, I went back to the front desk. After an hour, it was fixed. In the morning, my wife and I both showered. The water pressure was minimal at best. Bathroom tile was cracked and dirty. hallway walls are excessively battered and carpet needs to be replaced. When my wife went to the lobby to find a cup of coffee, she was told the coffee shop was closed on Sunday!!! The previous night we went to Quattro. Food was mediocre at best. The waiter tried. Food was delayed and at the time, we were the only people in the room (which was freezing) This property has seen better days. Good things........inexpensive, near the airport and there was a shuttle to the airport. If you are looking for a cheap hotel the night before you fly out, this place is OK. The Adventure Hotel is right down the street and although rustic, it offer a cleaner and better services (for the money) If this was a hostel, it would get an 8/10 rating

Convenient location to airport. Great having few car rental companies on site foe drop off. Restaurants and bars not open at various times of day. No ice machines could be found, although lots of signs. Pools were nice, but extra chairs and umbrellas are needed.

The check in was fine. Friendly helpful staff. The condition of property depends on which building you’re in. Building 5 very run down. I had a problem with the shuttle not showing up at domestic airport. Booked and confirmed - no show.

Property grounds are beautiful and pools great. Old hotel. Interior needs many upgrades like carpets, painting and upgraded bathrooms. Lobby nice. Restaurants on site not good but some great options are waljable. It stated free shuttle which is one reason we booked but only runs starting at 5 am. We had to leave at 3 pm so had to pay for transportation.

It was only after having paid for the 2 bedroom suite did the front desk said the suite I had booked Was not actually available - so they would downgrade me - they did eventually give me 2 rooms which was the equivalent and diner vouchers .Problem was the restaurants on site had the worst ever meal I have ever had with horrible cold entrees , which took over 1 hour to come in a restaurant with 1 waiters and only 3 tables -- we booked the shuttle for 6 am to the airport and it arrived at 630 - when we checkout out no one bother to tell us we would have to wait 45 mins for a 15 mins ride - - ths ppol was overcholiates , no longes chairs , and the entire place was rundown . Very poor way to end what was a great trip - Totally overpriced - stay anywhere else !!
