Good airport hotel.
The hotel location was excellent for an early morning flight from San Jose Airport. The room was spacious and clean. The rooms have very low sound proofing and the noise level was a bit distracting for good rest. The Park and Fly feature is a nice benefit for those who need to leave a cat for a short while. Not a great location for walkability and the access to the roads is tough, especially at night. Good restaurants are a bit of a drive.

The room smelled musty, the a/c didn’t work when we arrived and didn’t work well during the night, and the toilet seat was broken. that said, the staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful; they were great. Hotel facility needs more attention.

This is a clean hotel that is close to the airport with a shuttle to the airport that runs 24 hours a day and is free. You can also walk to a couple of restaurants. Friendly staff and includes breakfast.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn on our first night and last night in Costa Rica. It’s only a few minutes from SJO airport with a shuttle to pickup and drop off. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean. Our kids enjoyed the outdoor pool the first day while the adults picked up a rental car. A hot breakfast is also included which was very tasty. Overall, a very good stay and I would recommend if you have an early or late flight at SJO.

Traffic around San Jose can be pretty intense. The location of this Holiday Inn is perfect -- close to the airport and close to the car rentals. Staff are friendly and helpful and they made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet is great and we appreciated the staff member who made balloon animals for the children in the room. An extra sweet touch!
