Overcharged - check your credit card statement

I booked my stay at Hayes Mansion via the hotels.com app. After reviewing my credit card charges, Hayes Mansion charged my credit card the full amount of my stay even though I already paid in full through the hotels.com app. I called the front desk twice and they agreed that I was incorrectly charged and to contact her manager and accounting department. I contacted the accounting department via email and left a message and still have not received a call or email back.

I stood in line for 10 minutes to check in. Then the room I was assigned was on the first floor and the windows wouldn’t lock. The property is near a homeless encampment and I didn’t not feel safe on a first floor corner room without properly locking windows. I asked for another room but none were available. My safety is too important so I just left and stayed at a different hotel.

This hotel is over priced, does not include main necessities. Have to pay for water, no makeup wipes, also the lighting was very dim. The staff saw us struggling to get inside and ignored us.

I’ve been coming here since 2020! I just love the hotel! Everyone is so sweet and welcoming! Easy check in as well! Downside is you can’t access to more than Netflix and YouTube on the tv so that sucks. I’d recommend bringing a laptop for entertainment. The pool and jacuzzi is really nice! The menu at the restaurant changes every month so be aware of that! I loved their strawberry dulce de lece cake they served on VDay! So good! Must be a permanent dessert please!!

Well the property itself is nice BUT expensive. This morning around 8am while I was in deep sleep there was a guy with a blower going back and forth right outside my window. Then I was the housekeeper trying to come in around 9am when check out time is noon.
