They gave me a room without a view even though I paid for a room with a view. When I complained they said that since I booked through Expedia they didn't have it in "their system" that the room was supposed to have a view. Their "system" didn't have a problem charging me the price of a room with the view. When I asked to be refunded the price difference all I got was more inanities about "the system".

Our stay was excellent except for the gentleman who checked us in on our arrival. He seemed to be annoyed that are flight was late and our arrival was delayed. Outside of this everything else was outstanding!

This is a very safe and comfortable high end hotel right in the middle of San Jose within walking distance of most of the attractions including the Main Markets and the National Museum. It's also right across the street from the National Theater. The rooms are very comfortable and well maintained. The lobby is on the 5th floor and you need a key card to enter the other floors with guest rooms so it is very safe. My family and I did not eat at the restaurant though it looked very nice. We wanted to get a flavor of the surrounding options instead.

Nice and newly renovated hotel from a historical building conveniently located near all centers of actions. The national theater is right across the street, the central market is just a few minutes walk. All things operated to western standards. Won’t recommend the onsite restaurant though, it was our only fine dinning experience in the city so no comparison to other similar options. The view is amazing but we enjoyed the food from central market way better.

Great staff and a delicious breakfast. We only stayed a couple of nights but it’s the perfect place from which to walk around San Jose. Comfy room, really clean and very friendly and helpful staff.
