For the money, FOUND Hotel is terrific. I usually stay at Motel 6. We had a king bed room, but there are many other configurations and options. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to other travellers.

Value priced Hotel Close to Union Square

The FOUND Hotel is on the edge of a sketchy area of SF but the hotel itself is relatively clean and safe. Definitely a "value" hotel, low rates for a basic room, sort of hostel for adults. My room was small, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and relatively modern. You need to bring your passwords for any streaming services you want to use (Netflix, Prime, Hulu, etc.) otherwise you just get pretty basic local TV.

Super well-kept place with really friendly staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. It’s clean, comfortable, with simple amenities for you to use. Even down to caring about how “traffic sound” could affect your sleep, they provided earplugs and a sound machine. The whole stay feel relaxed and enjoyable!

Excellent price but some trade-offs

Stayed for a week and only had to pay about $100/night which is amazing for SF, but there were some pros and cons. Room was clean, comfortable bed, and a nice big bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. But my room had no closet or wardrobe to hang clothes, and the ceiling did a poor job of quieting noise from above (I was hearing whole conversations).

I got superior bunk bed room. I wouldn't stay in regular room if this one was superior. Room has bathroom in a wall closet. Sink is in a room. It didn't fit into the closet. and there not a closet for your cloth. There are few hooks on the wall in the bathroom/closet with coat hangers that all what you got. You ether can hang your clothes or towels. Could hotel to put a rack in the room? Be prepared to know if your neighbors above are tap dance enthusiast. You can hear their every move. Do not worry there are ear plugs in the room. There is not a restaurant in the hotel. Unless kitchen on the second floor count as one
