Beautiful historical building, with a lot of character, nicely maintained. Gorgeous large rooms. Location is superb- right at the cable car stop. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating

The location is great, lots of restaurants within 10 minutes' walk. BART (train from airport) station is 10 minutes walk away. Staff is friendly. I would stay there again.

Room category ranges are extreme. Booked two rooms at the same time and under the same reservation. One was a shoe box and the other was large…..for the same price. Water pressure was non existent and while showering the water just stopped. Lounge on 21st floor was lovely and hostess and bartender were extremely nice.

It was very noisy. The noise wasn’t from the outside. It was some kind of motor sound. Hummed all night long. We couldn’t sleep, and gave me headache. I paid too much for a room not able to rest at all.

We are frequent visitors to San Francisco, and decided on this occasion to try a different hotel than our regular one. Beacon Grand seemed a good option because of its location and beautiful images online. But we were disappointed with how unwelcoming the front desk person was - he didn’t react even when we told him that it was our first time at the hotel. The room was stylish but there were cobwebs in the corners! The staff at the bar were very pleasant and the lobby area is quite beautiful but we may just be going back to our regular hotel.
