The hotel is like a maze they bought out the property behind them and it can be confusing and inconvenient going from building to building with luggage. Also the concierge charged my card three times by accident and still waiting for my refunds. One thing we didn’t like is that our glasses in our room had lipstick on it not clean at all and our robe had holes.

Very close to Union Square which I like. It would've been nice if they have complimentary bottled water in the room. Still noisy outside from the on going strike. But they put me in a room far from the noise. Appreciate that. I would stay again next time.

Great affordable location
Our fourth annual trip to the city and once again we booked our room at the Handlery, and once again they did not disappoint! Very convenient and affordable location in Union Square!! Room was clean and very quiet easy to walk and enjoy the holiday spirit of the city!

Conveniently located a few steps from Union Square, the cable car, and lots of shops and restaurants. Spacious room, which was ready even though I arrived at 1pm - check-in doesn't begin until 3. Some rough sleepers in the neighbourhood although not threatening, and the noise from the striking workers outside the Westin was only a minor irritation.

There’s a strike with the housecleaning staffs in the city that apparently has gone on for over two months. Every day and night there’s noisy and unrest in the city. San Francisco confirmed all the negative reports I’ve heard about the city. It’s too bad. Because at times I could see its charm but all too fleeting.

Good hotel, great location
Can't fault it as a place to stay in central SF. Very close to Union Square and the Mason-Powell cable car, and walking distance to the metro station (which connects with the airport). Room was spacious, beds were comfortable. Was quiet at night time. I stayed here with my daughter and the room was large enough (just) for the two of us. Would happily stay here again.
