To enter hotel entrance is hidden. Looks more like an apartment entrance that is accessible by the security guard or hotel keycard. Very clean and nicely furnished. It has a really nice aroma too. From the reception to the room, simplistic but chic decor. The ipad in the room lets you control everything including the night and day shades which was a nice to have. Will definitely come back on our next trip to SF.

The hotel is at a very convenient location, near Union square and from many others point of interest. The room is super clean and very modern, everything is controlled with an iPad. The bed is very comfortable. My room had several issues with the key but the staff was super nice and helpful. I can really recommend this hotel, it’s amazing for the price and the staff is really awesome! I will definitely come back!

Hip hotel filled with pop art!
Great location, hip interior, pop-art filled spacious lounge area, and smart design. We stayed in Times Square in NYC last year, and we did staycation in San Francisco. We love this hotel. It lifts our spirit!

First off, the customer service is top notch. Everyone is so kind and helpful. The rooms are spotless and creatively designed. 24 hour security keeps us safe. It is not for everyone. It is just Perfect for me. I travel one week per month; I have stayed in over 100 hotels, and CitizenM is just what I need: a clean, comfortable, modern, very small hotel room. I stayed at a CitizenM in Schiphol, in The Netherlands, and I will never forget it. They are what a hotel should be. Beware: the room is the width of the bed. And, you Control everything from an iPad.
