This hotel was perfect. Beautiful, clean, stylish, very helpful staff. Was sad that I was only here for one night. I loved this hotel. So classic feeling and beautiful and in such a good area. Will definitely come again.

Beautiful 1914-constructed property, complete with external fire escape. Lovely period features. Immaculately maintained. Family-owned. Thoughtful small features, like a bath duck, large walk-in closet (Room 1105), iron, ironing board, fridge. Free tea, coffee and cookies in the foyer. Lovely non-franchise feel with great personality. Right on Union Square with cable tram running past front door. 10-min walk to Moscone conference centre. 5min walk to BART and MUNI transport.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the cookies were yummy. Loved the filtered water dispenser in the lobby. The locaton was an easy stroll to the metro statons and bus stops.
