Great hotel, excellent service and excellent food. I really enjoyed my stay. It was property of Vicente Fox ( Mexico's ex-president) so there's a lot of history on this site.

Beautiful spot BUT...
We booked a specific room and they gave us a different room. This room smells so bad. Humidity and smell of spout. Extremely noisy room also. The place is beautiful. I have to say that thank you to JOEL we will return again. This employee was extremely kind and respectful. He apologized for the inconvenience and gave us a tour to the whole property.

Great Hacienda Hotel very original!!
This is a great hidden gem, especially the price. If you like the colonial architecture, this is beautiful Hacienda style Hotel. Belongs to the Ex President Fox, of Mexico, his family. Great food and drinks at the restaurant. Great community and not too far from Leon.

Not so good, the staff are idoits. Restaurant closed early. No hot water, no light in bedroom, phone don't work 24 stairs to front desk! Ther would not change our room. We last at 1:25 am. pictures are faces of ignorance. Very bad experience fought with them and Hotels.com for three hours! Finely left no refund. RIPOFF!!

Beautiful hotel. I have stayed here on three separate trips to Guanajuato and I have never been disappointed. Friendly staff, very clean rooms, and the food is fantastic. Last trip I brought the kids along and they had a great time - even watched a movie in the theater they have for guests. I highly recommend Hotel Hacienda San Cristobal. I have another trip with the family planned in a few months and we'll be staying here again!
