Very reasonable price in a great location to walk all over Little Italy, Harbor and Downtown. Rooms are clean and updated but tiny. Excellent value if you only spend sleeping time there.

Something different not a chain so it was a unique experience! I didn’t like the overwhelming smell of diffuser or scent in the lobby but it wasn’t in the rooms so that’s good

Horrible experience.

Horrible experience. Workers were too loud, which didn't allow me to sleep at all. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and I found roaches in my room. Also, the parking was too far from the hotel. I'd highly recommend going somewhere else. I wish they'd do something to make it right.

Very noisey hotel

The hotel states on the Hotels.com website that they provide daily housekeeping but when I got there I was informed that this is not the case, and they provide it on alternate days. I was upgraded to a better room, thanks to the manager Vince, which I appreciated but my room was street facing and very noisey, the walls of the hotel were like paper thin and I could hear the conversation happening in room next door, safe to say couldn’t get any sleep, on top of that, could hear street traffic in the morning. Every morning, the hotel staff would start banging on doors screaming “housekeeping” which was really annoying if you wanted to sleep in because they started this as early as 7 am. There was a very strong smell of bleach and such in the room which gave me a strong allergic reaction and I felt like I was sick all the while I was at the hotel, eventually, I decided to check out early. The bedsheets were scratchy as they were made of really low quality material. I didn’t feel comfortable in the hotel. The positive thing was the location as it was close to lot of restaurants, there was also a TV in the room with Netflix which made the experience tolerable.

Cute hotel in Little Italy. Close to the plaza , restaurants, dog parks and the waterfront. Parking is a bit of a hassle but we lucked out with timing and found a free spot.

Never Again

When we arrived on Sunday night the guy at the desk had zero personality and talked so fast we had to ask him to repeat what he said. When we opened the door to our room the room had such a musty smell we had to open the window. It was bad! The AC unit made a horrible sound and finally at 2am we unplugged it, hence… no air circulation. I’m not sure how this hotel gets such a high rating to be honest. The only saving grace for this hotel was the young gentleman that was at the desk when we left Monday morning who I told the AC in the unit was broken and he looked so caring and concerned when I told him, he said he would let someone know right away. I hope room 307 gets cleaned and sanitized as it really smelt bad. We should have gone down to talk to the first guy, but we highly doubted he would care. The hotel is in a great location, but so are a bunch more.

Do Not Stay Here If You Like Clean Rooms

Dirty sheets, bodily fluids and snot on the cover sheet of the bed, shower was broken and coming apart. The housekeeping staff lied and fraudulent charged for a towel stain when there was no stain. They said they would credit the room for the night and never did.

This was hands down the WORST hotel I have ever stayed at. For starters, when you arrive at the hotel they neglect to tell you that 'hotel parking' is a quarter mile down the street from the actual hotel, yet they charge you an extra $25 a night to park there. As you walk into the hotel, the front desk is RIGHT next to the door so every single time you walk in and out of the hotel the front desk clerk makes some sort of comment to you. Don't even think about coming to stay here with a dog, because they neglect to tell you even after you have checked in that you actually are not allowed to leave the hotel without your dog with you. This is the most ridiculous policy I have ever seen at a 'pet friendly' hotel. You might think that they won't notice, but the hotel staff clocks everyone who brings a dog in and will not let you leave the hotel without the dog. As you walk into the hotel you are immediately hit with an overwhelming odor of what I can only describe as a teenage girl's cheap perfume, which they have a machine consistently pumping throughout the hotel. When we got up to our room, we found it to be incredibly dirty, walls covered in paint chips, and to top it all off we found a pair of dirty women's underwear on the floor by the bed. The room and hotel have zero amenities, no breakfast in the morning, nothing. It is essentially an overpriced hostel. If you have the ability to stay anywhere else while in SD, I highly suggest you do.
