The hotel is dark and dingy. My toilet wasn’t cleaned - marks on bowl upon checkin - Yuk! Hair left on floor of bathroom. Mini bar empty, hotel staff at check in - seemed uninterested in being helpful or welcoming. Can name if helpful. Avoid this hotel!

This historic building is lovely. Being an old building, the rooms are slightly small but quite livable. I loved the in-room Nespresso coffee maker. The San Diego Zoo and Balboa park are very nearby and easy to get to from here.

This property is run down, worn dirty carpets in common areas, and peeling and scuffed paint. No food or drink options, restaurant bar is closed. The room rate is note congruent with the amenities.

It is a beautiful,clean hotel with water and candy at the front desk! We had a corner room, great view, very spacious too! It was very walkable to the great areas, Gaslamp, downtown, and a $40 Uber drive to La Jolla! Great hotel and location!

Local, safe , quiet & close proximity to Gaslamp. (10 min walk) Parking is right next door. Close to balboa park and maybe 20 min away from La Jolla. I’d say this hotel is a great location from touristy spots. Staff was friendly and accommodating to requests/question you may have!

The Sofia hotel staff were all very accommodating! Great location and had a very nice fitness center. Only complaint I would have is the hot water didn’t really get too hot, granted it is an old building. But other the water temperature, I had a very good experience during my stay.
