A Comfortable Stay

Location was great; room was small but comfortable and quiet. Front staff was friendly and helpful. We liked that the housekeeping policy (no room cleaning except a "refresh" if requested) was clearly indicated, so we knew what to expect. Personally, we really like to have breakfast included at the hotel, so not having that was a minus for us, even though we were surrounded by restaurants.

My room on the 4th floor had an amazing skyline view! The room was clean and had a very plush bed. The staff was friendly. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

The hotel is in a great spot for everything Little Italy. Parking in the garage is a bit pricey $35 a night.

The Pensione Hotel was a good value but with a few draw backs. The desk staff was friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff was excellent. The location was great right off the main shopping and eating street in Little Italy. Across the street from the plaza de famaglia which had outdoor markets on Saturday and Sunday. A short walk from the Maritime Museum and harbor attractions. There was an outdoor seating area which was shared with a cafe. Our room was small which we knew. The lighting was terrible. There was no way to shut off the lights on each side so one person could read without disturbing the other.There were few options to sit in the public areas and none in our room. The fitness room consisted of a treadmill a step machine and another cardio machine but no weights or resistance machines. Also there was no room to do floor exercises and there was no room for exercising in our private room. The AC unit was hard to balance and blew constantly. I would have liked to love it but i just didn’t.

We really enjoyed the location. Restaurants and cafes at your doorstep. But the rooms are very small and while there is garage parking, it’s pretty snug and not conducive for larger vehicles.

When we got there they told us there was no more parking, They then told us about a parking structure which charged us $50 for over night parking (with no in and out privileges) When we went to pick up vehicle they charges us again as they said they don’t even do over night parking So they charged us an additional $35 to be able to leave
