Decent if you’re only staying there to sleep but could have been cleaner, found hairs in bath tub, toilet seat dirty, they could do a better job at cleaning for health and safety reasons. Also no microwave available. Only two towels available in room.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The in-house restaurants were good, especially the margaritas at the Mexican Spot! The pool & hot tub area were very tropical & pretty & we enjoyed the hot tub on a cool evening.

I loved the Kings Inn. I love how retro it is. You all did a great job on the room decor. Minimal, but very cool. Beds were clean and comfy. Pillows were good. (We all love a decent pillow)! Room clean. Bathroom clean and well stocked. Loved that mirror!! Towels of decent quality. TV good. (That is important). Personnel outstanding! Thank you for your professionalism and warm help. You were wonderful! Inner pool and hot tub were perfect. Great hot tub! Well kept, beautiful slender majestic palm trees! Plenty of parking! Wish we could have experienced your restaurant, love waffles. Your mexican restaurant got good reviews. Next time I am going to experience both. So unusual to find a good reasonable hotel. All was great, but didn’t know about the $15 car parking fee per day which seems to be discerning. Seems to take advantage of your clients without warning if they book anywhere but directly with you.

Here’s a modified version of your review, adhering to your requests: --- **Review of Kings Inn** I recently booked a stay at Kings Inn through Expedia, choosing a pet-friendly option. Upon checking in, my small chiweenne dog accompanied me as I moved back and forth to my car. To my surprise, a security guard approached me and accused me of attempting to hide my dog. He informed my sons and me that we had just 15 minutes to leave the property, threatening to call the authorities if we didn’t comply. As someone who frequently travels with my sons for outreach efforts, I felt unjustly treated for what I believed was a simple oversight. The situation escalated in a humiliating manner while I was interacting with other guests. Customer service should prioritize empathy and understanding, especially in situations where guests might make mistakes. Unfortunately, this was not the case during my visit. I believe the security guard's behavior was unacceptable and should be addressed by management. I hope my experience can lead to improvements in how guests are treated and encourage staff to handle situations with greater care and respect. --- ---

Nice for the price
We forgot to ask if there was an elevator and sure enough our room was on the upper level. They did have a freight elevator and a maintenance worker delivered our bags to our room for us. There was no microwave BUT there was a really nice refrigerator with separate door freezer. This hotel has far too many rooms for the size of the hot tub but it was hot and bubbly.

I have been coming to this hotel since my kids were todlers. More than 30 years...It is old but very friendly, clean and with a very good coffee shop.

I had a great time at Kings Inn. The check in process was efficient and the staff friendly. The hotel was roomy and clean. There was a nice sized pool. Convenience items included a good-sized fridge and microwave. Conveniently located near the freeway and close to shopping, grocery stores and restaurants. Old Town was close by. I recommend and would revisit.
