Extra Fee

This hotel charges twenty five dollars a day on top of the room charge and taxes. This charge can be applied towards the gift shop or attached restaurant, and it must be used by the end of each day. So if you want to dine at other area restaurants or if you don’t buy snacks in the gift shop each day, you lose that money each day. We lost our money on a Sunday because the gift shop closes early that day. The money cannot be applied towards alcohol.

Location, front desk staff and availability of room for early check in, balcony, and restaurant food/staff were fabulous! Thank you. Gift shop and general interior of building could use “freshening”. Disappointed there wasn’t a water/coffee/hot tea hospitality area. My greatest frustration was found in the two men who stopped us asking to sign up for Hilton holiday packages. The first man was courteous when I said we were hungry and in a hurry. The second man (same day too) was more persistent and reflected his disapproval when I informed him I just wanted to get to my room. I realize they are tasked with a difficult job of “selling” vacation packages and appreciate that, but never a positive for the guest to feel harassed while here. Maybe use a different tactic, like a booth with poster information that people can approach instead of detaining people as they move about?

Fantastic place to stay

the staff was so nice and pleasant even when I asked if I could have a corner room. breakfast was great, the cocktail time was fantastic and the staff was great. I even took a picture of the pillows and matteress because I loved them so much. there was one tiny little thing on the floor one of the kick trim fell down but over all a great time at this hotel.

What I liked was the view (I paid extra for a view of the harbor). What I didn't like was the bed was in the harbor view space, and the sitting area was by the entrance door. And quiet dark. I understand the reason for not putting the bed near the entry, but it made the room work poorly.

Our stay was great however we ordered room service for several drinks and it took about an hour to deliver. Hotel parking was priced higher compared to other hotels. Overall it was walking distance to the eateries that we liked.
