Make sure you bring really good earplugs. It is so loud with the freeway, it sounds like the windows are open. The bathroom door doesn’t completely shut. The $30 usd per night dog fee is wild. There are no pet bowls or nice place for potty breaks. We also had the receptionist telling us we were late to check our after the first night even though we were booked for 4 nights. We would not stay here again.

It seems to be operated by people who are not familiar with the hospitality industry. Our room was not ideal in that you could see daylight around every edge of the door and the lock for the door was a keypad with a black background and black numbers. There was a cracked floor in the sink area and before we left the toilet wouldn’t flush. All in all we would not stay here again.

Quaint little hotel
We stayed in San Clemente for one night. The hotel itself is an older property, but the rooms were nicely updated. It was quiet and comfortable. The customer service was very good. We were recommended a place for dinner that was excellent. The only downside for some might be the bathroom door. It slides at the top and there is a bit of a gap when closed. Not a big deal if you are comfortable with who you are traveling with, but it's something to be aware of.

Not a bad place. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are updated, but cheaply - floor is cracked in multiple places and the water for my shower never got hot - just lukewarm. There was a fire alarm in the middle of the night - fire department came, but no one could get in touch with the property management. It was right by the highway - not a terrible place to stay, but there are better options. You get what you pay for.

It's a beautiful, recently remodeled hotel with several covered parking spots. Rooms are updated also. But instead of a key or card you get a 6-digit code to enter your room, and it always took several tries. The walls are thin, so I had to run the nice AC all night to block out the noise from the highway. The water took 5 minutes to get warm in the shower. And the TV is a Roku, so they had no local channels, and not the cable channel that had the NL Playoff game, so I missed it. The king size bed was very old and too soft.

The bathroom door does not have a proper door, so there is a complete lack of privacy. They have improvised a 'barn door' instead of a locking door. The room is clean, but sparse. It was very damp and the bed was not comfortable.
