The Drury is awesome! It’s kind of annoying to be required to use valet, but it’s definitely convenient. You will pay for the luxuries, but it’s very worth the splurge if you can.

We loved everything about this hotel. Very clean, spacious and super friendly. The only negative was the lack of ice machines on every floor. 23 floors but only 4 ice machines.

This is where I stay each time I go but this time the cable TV service and Wi-Fi was off all day long that was the only setback

Cute older hotel that had lots of charm. The pool view on rooftop was nice, unfortunately there were too many people in pool so we could not get in. The people who were in charge of the breakfast and afternoon snacks were awesome. They were very accommodating and always had a smile on their face.

Very noisy, good value for families

Very noisy location -old (bank?) building with thin windows/walls so street noise is impossible to ignore. Very pleasant staff who work hard serving free food and booze, but they can’t make up for hotel’s deficits. Elevators are overwhelmed at breakfast and happy hour, mostly families with lots of kids. Good value for them but not great for a relaxing couples vacation. Stairwell is filthy.

We booked the Drury Plaza because it was located on the Riverwalk that runs in downtown San Antonio TX along the San Antonio River. All the history attractions were within walking distance of the hotel. The riverwalk was an exceptional feature of downtown that we visited and used multiple times during out stay. Our typical king room was very spacious and well laid out. High quality linens. The decor in the lobby took you back to the glamorous age of the 1920's. It used to be the Alamo bank building, refurbashed in the early 2000's for which they kept the historical look. What we didnt expect was how well The Drury Plaza staff took care of us. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We knew it included free breakfast. But we were blown away by the options that breakfast included. When out sightseeing we found every meal was around $50-$60 for two. Then we realized that Drury Plaza also offered free light supper every day to their guests with multiple options. Between these two meals The Drury saved us at least $50 a day. Other perks: In house guest laundry. Inside pool with heated jacuzzi, rooftop pool & hot tub, valet parking. We loved our stay and highly reccomend this hotel. You won't be disappointed.
