I did not like that I had to pay for valet parking $45 a day plus tax plus tip. Other than that the hotel very nice and convenient to the Alamo, Riverwalk and Stadiums.

Overall decent hotel and was clean. Coffee shop downstairs is definitely a must have. The bar was good but if trying to order food late 10/11ish was already done serving even though it says until midnight. The noise was due to construction going on that started each morning at 6am.

Great experience for the Alamo

We had a great stay and friendly staff. It was amazingly close to the Alamo and made that a bonus. Was quiet for the most part and everything was convenient.

While we feel the room was great, we were disappointed that we were given a room right next to the construction at the Alamo that woke us up at 6:30 am. When we called the front desk to complain we were told we could move to another room (mind you we are in our pj's and would have to pack everything up at 6:30 then check out by 11.) Why if there were rooms away from the construction were we not give one of those rooms to begin with and why were we not warned about the construction. Seems like lack of caring about your customers.

The hotel is old and historic. It's in a great place for a downtown San Antonio visit. We stayed several days and found it to be perfect for exploring the city. The rooms and beds are a bit small (as are most historic hotels) but fine for our trip. Parking was valet only, which is typical for the area.

Everyone was fantastic as we checked in and checked out. The Crockett Tavern had a great happy hour and everyone was welcoming there as well. I liked the smell of the hotel and I saw the cabinet that showed who created it. It will always remind me of Texas!

Stayed here twice this year and it’s always been a great experience, like the feel of a smaller hotel and located in the middle of everything within walking distance. It poured the night we stayed while we walked the riverwalk but even that was enjoyable. My fiance and I were soaked by the time we got back, great end to the evening.
