Great spot for quick access to ski resorts

A friend and I were staying at this hotel to ski up the canyon for a few days. It's the perfect location for quick ski resort access (on weekdays). The hotel seemed very new and was very clean. They had a hot tub, which was appreciated, although a little small and can get crowded immediately after the ski resorts close. Overall would recommend this hotel.

The reason I gave 2 stars was because either the walls and floors are paper thin, or the people that stay here walk with cinder blocks as shoes all hours of the night and are incredibly inconsiderate. We stayed for a week and on night 1 our upstairs neighbor was stomping around from 9pm on throughout the night. We have never complained before but it was so bad we called the front desk. They said they would say something. It didn't make a difference. 6am now and they must be walking around with ski boots. Woke us up out of a dead sleep. Night 2, same thing, went to the front desk that morning and they said they would handle it. 3rd night, still walking around all hours of the night, constant thudding of feet above us. We call again, apparently it's new people so they said they would say something. We get woken up at 3am with stomping around. We gave up and just dealt being kept up at night and woken up early in the morning. We could also hear the guy in the next room over talking about his stocks. Full conversations through the walls. Again we are not people who complain and hate that we had to, but we couldn't sleep being woken up constantly throughout the night. There are washing machines on the property. Not sure they have ever been cleaned. There was a lot of dirt, rocks and grime around the seals of the machine. $8 to wash and dry. Now the good: place is clean, staff is friendly and close to the mountains.

Great location to catch shuttle up to mountains. Room was nice and vibe was very friendly. Three really good restaurants are walking distance from hotel. Otherwise not much in walking area. Breakfast was good with waffles, eggs and pastries. Plus breakfast started early! Would come again!

Our stay was overall good with one exception. The front desk man was good and even came up and got tv working so we could see the playoffs. The problem was housekeeping. Room initially clean but no daily service. Like pulling teeth to get our trash picked up and new towels. We had a 4 day stay. Had to request a couple times and then they didnt even touch the bed. Otherwise things were good. Good location for ski slope access

Not Our Best Stay!

It pains me to leave this review as my wife and I have stayed here numerous times over the years and we have been quite happy with the rooms, the amenities, and the proximity to the various ski resorts in the area. Unfortunately, our most recent stay was less than stellar. First, the heater/air conditioner "grenaded" on our first night. It didn't sound very good the first time it kicked on shortly after our arrival (a grinding sound on cycle initiation and then a 5-10 second squealing sound upon cycle termination). Then about 4 am on the first night there was what sounded like a bearing seizure or fan blade "explosion". Whatever it was, it was loud and it sounded really bad. We turned off the unit at the room's control panel and alerted front desk staff the next morning. For the next three nights (with a non-functional heater) the room was pretty "brisk" and, unfortunately, we were told there were no other rooms available. Then there was the "roller derby team" conducting practice in the room above us. This was obviously no fault of the hotel but seriously the rude and inconsiderate behavior (until 2 in the freaking morning) of some hotel guests is mind boggling at times! I know I could have confronted the offending guests, but chose not to have a confrontation that might have ended badly for the other guests.

Great location for skiing

We stayed here while skiing at Alta, Snowbird and Park City. The location is very convenient to get to all of these resorts by car, and there is a UTA Ski Bus stop in front of the hotel that goes to Brighton and Solitude with connecting service to Alta and Snowbird. The breakfast was good and had fresh apples and oranges, but I'd recommend adding bananas. The workout room had a good variety of aerobic machines and weights as well as plenty of space, but the hotel needs to provide sanitizing wipes as a lot of people are using the equipment. The hot tub was hot and the pool was refreshing. Friendly staff at the front desk. Overall a very good experience for 5 nights in January.
