No shower curtain!!!

There was no curtain in the shower!!! Reporting to reception 2 times did not help because the guy told that they do not have a spare and all rooms are booked. Instead he provided few more towels to place on floor!!!! Also, in name of breakfast, there was only sweet snacks!!!

Booked a jetted tub room did not get it. They switched the room on me to plain double queen room. Got in th room and i had to scrub the bathtub. It was filthy and somebody else's body hair in it. The shower curtain and tub stopper were broken. Breakfast was supposed to be available starting at 6 am. They did not even turn the lights on in that area until almost 7:30. The beds only had sheets and thin blanket. No microwave either.

Fabulous Stay at West Valley Inn! After a long 6-hour drive, we were beyond relieved to be greeted with fresh coffee in the lobby - such a thoughtful touch that immediately set the tone for our stay. Then we stepped into our room and we were impressed. Spacious, spotless, and so incredibly welcoming. From the neatly folded towels to the in-room coffee machine area and the massive king bed, every detail was spot-on. We were also pleasantly surprised by all the extras: a fridge, microwave, ample space to move around—wow! It felt like more than just a hotel room; it felt like a cozy little retreat. The pool area was inviting and relaxing. After checking in, we went to explore the city (only a 15-minute drive away!) and knew that we could come back and still enjoy the pool since it’s open until 10 pm. That’s a win in our books. Little things like the automatic night lights when heading to the bathroom added an extra layer of comfort and convenience that we didn’t know we needed. Whether you’re traveling as a family, couple, or solo, this place ticks all the boxes. The only tiny letdown? Breakfast. Don’t set your expectations too high—but hey, the waffles were delicious and they had Nutella, so it still ended on a sweet note! We would absolutely come back. West Valley Inn is a gem for anyone looking to enjoy Salt Lake City without sacrificing comfort, space, or a late-night swim.

This place is a total joke. Filthy room, disgusting bathroom, broken toilet and toilet paper holder, and a jacuzzi that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a year—plus the jets didn’t even work. I wouldn’t put my worst enemy in that tub. The back door to the building was literally held open with a rock. When I asked the staff about it, they acted like it was normal. “The key doesn’t work there” they said—except it did. So basically, they’re just cool with anyone walking in. Zero security. Speaking of security, the parking lot was wide open with no cameras, no plate check, nothing. It was like a free-for-all public lot. Anyone could roll up and park there. Breakfast included? Yeah right. There was almost no food. Whatever was there looked like it had been sitting out for hours. Absolute trash. We left in the middle of the night and booked another hotel. That’s how bad it was. I have pictures to prove all of this. If you’re even thinking about staying here—don’t. Just don’t. Save your money and your sanity.

Staff that we saw were friendly, room was more oversized than a standard two bed hotel room, microwave and fridge in room were nice. Breakfast was decent, had waffle maker, muffins, bread, cereal. Neighborhood was quiet and seemed safe. Took us about an extra 10 minutes to find the hotel, ‘best western’ signs all over and we were looking for west valley inn. Had to look at my online booking to compare pictures of the exterior to make sure it was right place. Cleanliness of the rooms could use improvement: long dark hair on most of the towels and on the floor in the bathroom, don’t think the room was vacuumed (found a sock, room key, fork, kids toy just under the edge of the bed). Fitness room seemed to be not available, had tape over the key pad. Needs some improvement in areas, but place has potential.

When first coming into the hotel, the lobby seems very modern and well kept. However the pool and fitness center were closed and that was not mentioned. We would have not picked this hotel if we would have known this. The rooms are in bad condition with amenities being worn down. The bathroom door was difficult to open, leading to some residents being unable to leave the bathroom. The pillows were bulky and old. Advertising a breakfast service while not fully stocked, lacking flavor, and options was preposterous. The rooms lacked cleanliness, especially the floors were sticky and gross from the moment of entry. Most hotels offer services which this one lacked, even lacking a simple hand soap, breakfast meals, and overall care. Had everything been more orderly, this could have been a very nice experience. Overall it was difficult to enjoy.

Not very clean. Lots of sugar ants. The air conditioner didn’t work, the tv didn’t work. I heard many people at the counter complaining of their rooms. I cleaned my room for myself. The one man did come change the ac unit after I called. I called from my personal phone as the one in the room didn’t work.

A nice place

We only needed the room for the afternoon and evening to celebrate our anniversary so we did not do any sleeping, but for what we saw and experienced, it was a nice, decent, quiet place to stay.
