Annoying experience at Best Western

The hotel's willingness to help the guest's need surprised me.It was negative.I asked for a shower cap for my wife as she had gorgotten to bring one.The front desk answer was that I could not have it because I had got a good room rate.I asked to purchase it and the answer was still NO.They had it right there but I could not have it which was most annoying.In future I would have second thought booking with any Best Western.

We were unaware the property didn't have an elevator and we were placed on the 2nd floor. My friend and I both have knee issues and are in our upper 60s. Getting our luggage upstairs was a problem. We asked the front desk clerk if we could move to the 1st floor and she said nothing was available. There were only 4 total cars there that night and the manager the next morning said there should have been room on the 1st floor. He said he'd talk to the desk clerk. Otherwise, it was a very nice stay. We loved the breakfast with all its choices and ate outside in a courtyard with beautiful flowers.

It was a good highway location for an overnight stay on our way to ghe Rockies. Staff friendly but not very good at giving recommendations on things to do in the area, and how to get there on foot - the motel is located close to a roundabout on the highway, and it proved to be difficult to find a way to walk without being on the highway shoulder. Once we found our way to the town we found very pleasant places to stroll and a lovely place to eat right by the water.

It was refreshing to stay in such a clean motel. The hot tubs and pool were well cared for as were the grounds. It was a place you wanted to hang out outside in the sun in one of their many patio chairs throughout the property. The staff were stellar. The complementary breakfast was the best we'd experienced.
