In the process of renovating so the pool was closed and the breakfast area was just ok. Otherwise we had a nice stay.

Entire hotel was under construction which was not brought to attention until after arriving, pool,arcade and all amenities which are part of price were also under construction and not available. Rooms were mentioned newly renovated was highlighted but inside room only beds looked like made, found bandage wrapper, lighter and other trash behind curtains and under chairs so clearly wasnt vacuumed or looked over. Disgraceful for cleaning staff to mark as ready for stay. Overall very disappointed with hotel and first and last stay at la quinta hotel in salisbury, Md. Hopefully someone that cares reads this and responds

Unfortunately upon arrival we found out that the hotel was under renovation. There was no mention of this anywhere during the booking process. Only one elevator worked, we had no hot water at night or the next morning and the main floor just didn't look inviting at all. It more looked like a bomb went off. Luckily the main desk clerk was super nice and had a wonderful demeanor so that made it doable for one night.

Disappointing Experience from the Start

I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately, my recent stay at this hotel was far from what I expected. I arrived to check in an hour after the posted check-in time, only to be told my room was not yet ready. There was no real explanation or apology—just a vague "we're still preparing it." After a long day of travel, being asked to wait with no clear timeline was frustrating and unacceptable. When I finally got to the room, things went from bad to worse. Upon unpacking, I discovered a pair of used men's underwear in one of the drawers, which was not only extremely unhygienic but also emitted a noticeable odor. It was clear the room had not been properly cleaned, raising serious concerns about the overall cleanliness standards of the hotel. I reported the issue to the front desk, but the response was underwhelming—more of a shrug than an effort to resolve or apologize. I expected more care and attention from a property in this price range. Overall, this experience left a lot to be desired. A clean room ready at the stated check-in time is a basic expectation, not a luxury. I hope management takes steps to ensure future guests have a better experience.

They are remodeling but the pool is open; their breakfast consisted of eggs, sausage, breads, fruit, cereal, yogurt, and juice; the rooms were new looking, nicely decorated, and clean. Only con was people are smoking cigs and mj in the rooms. We had a plug-in. The front desk staff was super nice.

Terrible experience

When we booked the hotel for our National wrestling tournament, there was no mention of the hotel being under construction. There was ONE elevator available for a completely booked hotel and no access to stairs. In addition, during our check-in several guests came down with different problems; double booked rooms, fire detectors going off constantly, etc. The breakfast was served in an old room that they took all the furniture out of and put tables and chairs in on the 2nd floor and was also terrible. I went down to the front desk to ask for towels, since our room only had 2, and they never brought any. I even offered to take them up so they didn't have to deliver them. The front desk insisted that housekeeping would deliver them. Since it was a busy weekend for hotels in the area, we were stuck at the La Quinta and had no other options.
