Larkspur Landing is incredible short and extended stay lodging in central Sacramento. The rooms are beautifully furnished and spacious. We stayed in the double bed room which hosted a queen bed in the open space and a separate king in a small separate bedroom. The room was cozy but enough to have a table, full refrigerator, stovetop, and sink. The bathroom is large with a spacious tub/shower combo. The continental breakfast was WONDERFUL with a variety of name-brand items to enjoy in the breakfast nook or in your room. As a family of 4 with a 4-year and 4-month old the room was perfect and very comfortable. We will definitely be returning!

It was very unique to have free laundry facility to wash our dirty clothes before packing them back into our luggage. Also, the outdoor and housekeeping stuff were exceptional 👌

Before being assigned to Room 336, make sure the following have been corrected: *Refrigerator leaks *Refrigerator is too cold and froze our food. Very difficult to change the temp. *Room sleeps 4 but not enough kitchen utensils for 4. *Major tile crack in bathroom floor *Enough body wash for 1 daily shower per person FYI - the liquid coming out of the bathroom wall dispenser (body lotion and hand soap) look the same so we used zero lotion. Upon check-out, we were told the lotion is clear and looks like the hand soap. The beds are comfortable, the 2 room suites are large and it was nice to have a full kitchen.

Bring a pet, get a dingy room
This is a pet friendly hotel so I’m sure when you bring the dog there are certain rooms designated as “pet rooms”. I expect the occasional hair. However, in our room a prior guest had a small dog which set up camp under the bed, ate, drank and defecated and it was never cleaned up. we informed the front desk of this immediately but it was not addressed while we were out. The following morning we mentioned it again and that employee had the room vacuumed. Aside from the feces under the bed, The room was basically grungy and all other respects. We have stayed here before many times and we never had a room this dirty. There is a $75 charge when you bring a pet, so for that, I would expect the room would be cleaned between visits. In my past reviews, I’ve mentioned that this property was somewhat rundown. However, this touched a new low in our history of staying there. Be sure you bring a box of Clorox wipes, you’ll need them.

The picture and description of property was not Sacramento!!!! It was Roseville. Our room was dirty and did not have the room I booked. E Peggy was very helpful and changed our room to another but it still was iffy. The property was miss represented on Expedia.
